Day 3507 - Early Morning Christmas Tree - 12.27.20

This morning I got up about 4:45AM and when I came out our tree was a lit up.  I took a photo before starting the day.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3506 - Nate And Exene Masked Up - 12.26.20

My son and his wife stopped by this morning to pick up the things left in their Christmas stockings and to drop off a couple gifts.  They were masked up.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3505 - Christmas Breakfast - 12.25.20

This was my Christmas breakfast.  After this we had a very chill day talking to family and watching Wonder Woman 1984.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3504 - Christmas Stockings - 12.24.20

My daughter and her hunny left this morning to travel to travel to Arizona to visit his family.  Because of this we had our Christmas dinner last night and we opened some presents last night as well.  This morning we had them get things out of their Christmas stockings before hitting the road.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3503 - Remote Working - 12.23.20

This is my daughter working remotely this morning.  She has a job with her school and she has been able to work from our house while visiting.  That has been good for her.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3502 - Rice Container - 12.22.20

For lunch today my daughter wanted Chinese from her favorite Chinese restaurant.  This is a container of white rice from the place.  This is something I saw today.

I found this Elf cereal at Aldi a couple weekends ago.  I have it out for the holiday.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3500 - Jacob Smiles - 12.20.20

My daughter and her husband are staying with us this week.  Today we basically hung around the house.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3499 - Cucidatis - 12.19.20

Today my wife and I made Cucidatis.  My mother has made these every year since I was a kid.  This cookie says Christmas to me more than any other cookie.  This year because of Covid we won't be going to my mothers and so we made a batch of the cookies ourselves.  They turned out great.  YUM!!!  This is something I saw today.

Our Producer and Director had this very cool cook book made and sent out to the crew for the holidays.  This is something I saw today.

Tonight we watched "The Year Without A Santa Claus" which is easily one of the best Christmas specials because it has Heat Miser and Cold Miser.  This is Cold Miser singing up a storm.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3492 - Fruit Cake - 12.12.20

Today my wife and I teamed up to make this fruit cake.  It turned out awesome.  Fresh out of the oven it was pretty amazing.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3490 - "He-Man & She-Ra A Christmas Special" - 12.10.20

As I've mentioned before I bought a bunch of Christmas specials and movies this year.  I already had most of the classic Christmas specials, so this year I was looking for ones I'd never scene or only vaguely remember.  I was a little too old for He-Man and so I never really watched the show, let alone the Christmas special.  I was however aware of it and knew it would be a good time.  I love it when a franchise bends over backwards to shoe horn in a Christmas special where it totally doesn't belong.  The Star Wars Holiday special comes to mind.  This one also fits that bill.  This is something I saw today.

In digging through records on my shelves this week I came across this one and I wanted to hear the Judy Garland recording on this record.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3488 - "Simple Folk Dances" - 12.08.20

I have been going through my computer and finding old audio files of records that I digitized, but never broke out the tracks.  I have far too many, but I am finally working through the backlog.  I had some kids records on there and some of them I had to dig out the records to find out what the track names were.  I had one that was a folk dance record and I wasn't sure which record the file came from, so I had to dig up any old folk dance record.  This is one of the ones I dug up, but this isn't the one that was on my computer.  That ended up being a different record.  I took a photo of this one anyways, because I'll probably digitize this on soon anyway, once I work through the backlog.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3483 - Peace On Earth - 12.03.20

This is the house at the end of our street.  Each year they do an amazing light show to music.  If you are in your car, you can tune into the radio station they are broadcasting on and get the light show set to music.  We have just been walking down each night and enjoying the lights and imagining the music.  This is something I saw today.

Tonight we went on our usual walk through the neighborhood enjoying the holiday lights.  I brought my camera a snapped a few photos.  This Christmas bow is just down the street.  This is something I saw today. 

Day 3480 - "Peace Christmas Greetings" Album - 11.30.20

I picked up the Christmas record this past fall when I found those records for ten cents.  When I first saw the record I thought it might be some sort of metal record and based on the artwork.  Christmas record was the last thing on my mind.  It turns out it is a decent Christmas record, but I love the cover the most because it is so dark and not very Christmassy.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3479 - Frank Sinatra's "All The Way" LP - 11.29.20

Yesterday I took all my Frank Sinatra records off the shelf (I have a lot) and I put them in Chronological order of release and then put them back on the shelf.  As I did that we listened to some Frank records, which was quite enjoyable.  Those old recordings on Capitol records sound great.  This record, though is one of my favorites.  My dad had an 8-track of this record and he played it in his car all the time.  A few months back I went looking for this record on the shelf and I couldn't find it.  I thought maybe I just had it on CD and gave up.  Then yesterday as I was going through each record, I found it again.  It was there all along, but I somehow kept looking over it.  That was part of the problem with the records being on the shelf in a very random order.  So now that I could easily find the record I played it this morning from start to finish.  It truly is one of the greatest Frank records.  There is not a single bad song on the album. It is a collection of singles and so every single on is a hit in my opinion.  No album fillers on this one.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3478 - Christmas Coloring Books, A Christmas Soda and The Six Million Dollar Man Christmas Adventures LP - 11.28.20

I put these decorations up this week. On the left are two old Christmas coloring books. On the bottom is a Christmas soda and on the right is the Six Million Dollar Man Christmas Adventures LP. This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3477 - Christmas Wreath - 11.27.20

Today the Thanksgiving wreath came down and the Christmas wreath went up.  This is it on our front door an is something I saw today.
 

Day 3476 - Thanksgiving Table Set - 11.26.20

This was our Thanksgiving table.  We had my son and his wife over.  You can see how we set the table to be socially distance friendly as much as possible.  You can also see the weird world of our house where you have Thanksgiving on the table, Horror comics on the wall from Halloween and then in the background you can see a couple Christmas trees and other Christmas decorations.  We are still embracing all the holidays.  This is something I saw today.

Of course I have to listen to this record every year.  I was thinking this year how it is such a strange record because the music is so melancholy for a holiday record.  But I guess that is Charlie Brown.  This is something I saw today.

This is a Christmas record I got last year on record store day on Black Friday.  It is a collection of all Christmas tunes from King Records artists.  It is great.  I gave it a spin today.
 

Day 3471 - Ordering At Tommy's - 11.21.20

This morning we put Christmas lights out on our lawn.  We put each light in a little holder and so the work took a while and did a number on my back.  So for lunch I was beat and so we decided to go get burgers from Tommy's.  We had not been to Tommy's since the pandemic hit.  It was good to have some comfort food.  This is my wife and I when we were ordering.  This is something I saw today.

This evening we had my song and his wife over for diner.  For desert my wife and I went to our new favorite bakery Sliders which is fairly close to our house on Burbank Blvd.  We picked up some mini pies and a loaf or banana Nutella bread.  Everything was amazing as usual.  This is something I saw today.

This wall is just off Burbank Avenue and I walk by it most mornings on my walk.  I've wanted to take a picture of this wall with the little bell and this morning I finally did with the stop sign shadow on it.  This is something I saw today.
