Day 2900 - Espectrostatic "Silhouette" - 04.30.19

I picked this record up off Band Camp recently.  It has some good tracks that I think I can use on a Halloween mix.   I brought this to work today.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2899 - Fear The Record - 04.29.19

The band Fear came up in conversation at work the other day and so I pulled the record off the shelf to bring in to work this morning.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2898 - Friends At The Griffith Observatory - 04.28.19

This evening I went up to the Griffith Observatory with my daughter and her friends to watch the sunset.  It was beautiful.  The worst part was that the parking lot was under construction so we have to park below down by The Greek Theater and walk up.  It was a killer.  This is my daughter and her friends from college.  This is something I saw today.

I have two versions of this song on record.  There is this one and a single by Robert Preston.  The Robert Preston version was featured during a great sequence on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.  I came across the two records this weekend and gave them a spin.  Both records are great.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2883 - USC Campus - 04.13.19

Today I had to work and on the way in I had to stop by the USC campus to an Amazon return center.  I had ordered something and accidentally order two of them.  So I needed to return the extra.  After dropping off the package, I took some photos of the buildings in the plaza where the Amazon drop was.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2880 - Hozier Concert Poster - 04.10.19

I picked up this poster at the concert last night.  I thought maybe my daughter might like it for her room since it will match her color scheme.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2879 - Gower Sidewalk - 04.08.19

This evening I went to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for a Hozier concert.  I parked on Gower and this was a view of the sidewalk near where my car was parked.  In the end the evening got really windy.  The opening act was Jade Bird and she was great, but the wind kept getting worse and before Hozier could go on the show was cancelled.  It was a bit anti-climactic, but the concert is being rescheduled.  Jade Bird was great and when I got home I ordered her album and an EP from Amazon.  So I should be getting those soon.  But back to the photo.  This view of the narrow sidewalk is something I saw today.

Day 2872 - "The Trip" and "The Wild Angels" - 04.02.19

This evening my wife joined me at the New Beverly.  We watched "The Trip" and "The Wild Angels."  Both are directed by Roger Corman and both star Peter Fonda and Bruce Dern.  I had seen "The Wild Angels" previously, but it was good to revisit.  It had been a while.  "The Trip" was a first time viewing.  Both had great soundtracks, some interesting performances and were generally entertaining.  "The Wild Angels" had some pretty tough scenes to get through especially through a modern lens, but it was an interesting time capsule.  Nancy Sinatra is fun to watch in that one as well.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2871 - Magic Mind Reading Cat - 04.04.19

This cat toy is usually on my office mate's desk.  It is a toy where you turn it on and it asks you to think of something and then it asks a bunch of questions in a creepy voice until it figures out what you are thinking of.  This is something I saw today.
