Day 468 - Bowl of Apples - 08.31.12

On my morning walk I saw this bow of apples on a lawn.  Seemed weird.  It was something I saw today.

Day 467 - Outside the Theater - 08.30.12

This is the walkway outside the theater at work.  You can see the posters for the movie I'm just wrapping up.  It was something I saw today.

Day 466 - Pre-Dawn Dr. Burbank - 08.29.12

I've started up my morning walk again this week and this morning I brought my camera.  Visited the old statue of Doctor Burbank, which has been featured here before.  Took this picture before the sun came up over the mountains.  It was something I saw today.

Dy 465 - A Way Out - 08.28.12

I look down this hallway everyday.  I can see it from my desk.  At the end there is a stairwell leading out of the building.  It was something I saw today.

Had some yummy homemade shrimp tacos tonight for dinner. This taco was something I saw today.

Day 462 - Preparing Project - 08.25.12

I spent most of my day working on a slide show and at the end of the day I did an export that I could check out before committing it to DVD.  This window was something I saw today.

Day 461 - Spider Web - 08.24.12

There are spider webs all over the parking garage at work and in the evening with the sun hanging low the are very visible.  This one was something I saw today.

Day 460 - Moviola - 08.23.12

Recently one of the editors at work brought in his own Moviola.  It is just for decoration.  It was something I saw today.

Day 458 - 720 Video Game - 08.21.12

This is one of the few Nintendo video games I had as a kid.  It is the only one I still have in my possession.  It was something I saw today.

Day 457 - Schmuck With A Truck - 08.20.12

The food trucks at work a godsend not so much for the food, because I have yet to eat at one, but because they provide something interesting to photograph as I walk out of work.  This one was something I saw today.

Day 456 - Animation Academy Drawings - 08.19.12

These are the spoils of our visit to the Disney Animation Academy yesterday. They are now in my living room.  It was something I saw today.

Day 455 - The Haunted Mansion - 08.18.12

If you keep your eyes open at Disneyland you can see some rather dark and scary images.  This demon is on top of the Haunted Mansion sign.  It was something I saw today.

Day 454 - Ice Water - 08.17.12

Picked up my daughter from her ABT Summer Intensive Program today. To avoid traffic coming back we stopped off at Downtown Disney for dinner and a little shopping. At dinner I was playing with my flash, figuring out the right setting to make it work remotely.  I set my camera on the table and snapped a few photos.  This is one of them and I really like how this accidental photo came out.  It was something I saw today.

Day 453 - Randy's Donuts - 08.16.12

After visiting my daughter at her ABT class my wife and I decided to head up the 405 to finally make a pilgrimage to Randy's Donuts.  This has been on my list of things to do for a long time.

Day 452 - After Dinner - 08.15.12

Went to a dinner for work this evening.  Broke out the camera after dinner and took a few photos around the tables.  This empty glass was something I saw today.

Day 451 - Alley Plant - 08.14.12

Just trying to keep it interesting.  I may have failed a little with this one.  By the end of the day I was tired and didn't want to hunt too much for a photo.  While taking the trash can to the back of the house I passed this plant growing in the alley.  It wasn't a great photo.  I tried to spice it up in post, but it still is pretty lame, but I'm too beat to start all over.  So this is it.  This was something I saw today.

Day 449 - Flo's Cafe - 08.12.12

Spent the day at Disneyland.  My wife and I went to meet up with out daughter who was going with her dance camp group.  However the reality of the day was that once we gave her a backpack that we brought from home, she went off with her new friends and we never met up again for the rest of the day.  My wife and I took it easy all day only going on 3 rides. We did our best to just pace ourselves and stay hydrated because my goal was to stay until the evening just so I could take photos in Radiator Springs at night.  This is one of the photos of Flo's Cafe that I took tonight.  It was something I saw today.

Day 448 - Burbank Buildings and Hills - 08.11.12

My wife and I went to downtown Burbank this evening to just walk around and I was looking for a photo.  We parked on the roof of one of the parking garages and I took this photo looking over San Fernando back toward the Burbank hills.  It was something I saw today.

This bottle of honey was out in the kitchen at work when I was leaving.  It was something I saw today.

Day 446 - Walkway - 08.09.12

This is one of the walkways I walk down every day when I leave work.  The sun was going down as you can tell from the shadows.  It was something I saw today.

Day 445 - Dead Bug - 08.08.12

This morning I went to take a picture of a sculpture near downtown Burbank.  After taking a few photos I noticed this bug in the parking lot.  I took a couple snaps and voila it became the photo of the day.  It was something I saw today.

Day 444 - Gene Autry Museum - 08.07.12

I went in to work really early this morning.  I swung through Griffith Park over to the Gene Autry museum for this photo in the early morning rays.  It was something I saw today.

Day 443 - Po - 08.06.12

Another pic from work.  On my floor in the kitchen area there is a huge Po statue that was used for publicity I think for Kung Fu Panda 2.  I took this close up before heading home.  It was something I saw today.

Day 442 - Pterri - 08.05.12

Relied on one of my classic subjects, toys, today.  A while back while looking for use picture frames at some thrift stores, we found this Pterri doll.  Sure it is kind of beat up and not in mint condition, but I didn't care.  Plus it was only a couple buck.  It was a nice addition for our small collection of Pee-Wee items.  I took it off the shelf today to photograph.  It was something I saw today.

Day 441 - Bathroom Trash Bin - 08.04.12

Took it easy with the photo for today.  This is the trash bin in one of our bathrooms.  It was something I saw today.

Day 440 - The Demon - 08.03.12

Today I had the pleasure of being invited to participate in a horror photo shoot.  It was something I had never done before on many, many levels.  We shot at a studio.  We had actors/models.  I had "studio lighting".  I put that in quotes because it was really shop lights, but still it was more than I had ever used before.  We had costumes and make up.  So yes, it was a lot of firsts for me.  At the end of the day I had quite a few really stunning or interesting images which made it really hard to choose just one.  I kind of wanted one with all the models, but in the end this single portrait won out because to me it is just creepy.  It was something I saw today.

Day 439 - Shrimp - 08.02.12

Shrimp!  Yum!  Barb made super tasty shrimp tacos tonight.  When I got home this plate of shrimp was something I saw today.
