Day 2505 - Art of Charles Thurston - 03.31.18

My wife and I love the art of Charles Thurston.  Last year we bought this paper cutout piece of May Poppins and Burt.  This last week we picked up this one of the Country Bears.  My wife loves the country bears and has a particular love of Big Al.  The moment we saw it we knew we had to own it.  This is something I saw today.

This is another of my new Orange Bird pins.  This one he is doing some serious concentrating.  I really like the way this photo came out because it looks like I have been looking for him and caught him in this voyeuristic frame.  It sort of feels intimate, yet sort of distanced.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2498 - Home Of The Ducks - 03.24.18

Today my wife and I went to Wonder-Con down in Anaheim.  We had to park at the Honda Center and get shuttled over to the Anaheim Convention Center.  This "Home of the Ducks" sign was something we passed as we were going into the parking lot.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2492 - Wondercon Badge - 03.18.18

I am hoping today is my last day of staying home sick.  I am still not 100%, but I need to get back to work and out of the house.  I was home again today and I slept a lot of the day.  This photo of my Wondercon badge I took this morning.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2491 - Bone "Out From Boneville" - 03.17.18

I am officially sick of being sick.  This afternoon I just couldn't watch anymore TV or movies and so I put on Dead Can Dance and read Bone.  That was nice and relaxing.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2490 - Naf Naf Sweatshirt - 03.16.18

Last night was horrible. I was up most of the night with a fever and chills.  I didn't sleep until after 4AM.  So I was again home from work today.  I am getting tired of being stuck at home.  This is a sweatshirt I bought my wife back in the early 90's.  My daughter now wears it.  She also has left it in our front room.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2489 - Sleeping Beauty Ballet Poster - 03.15.18

I stayed home from work again today.  I was feeling even worse.  These are some posters for an upcoming ballet for my daughter's dance school.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2488 - Van Morrison "Tupelo Honey" - 03.14.18

I stayed home from work today with a soar throat.  I did what I could for work from home.  I listened to some Van Morrison today.  I read an article about Van Morrison's "Astral Weeks" album earlier this week and so I listened to that on my iPod today.  I don't have that on vinyl, but I do have "Tupelo Honey" which is one of my favorite Van Morrison records.  I pulled this off the shelf today to bring in to work.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2487 - Lamp At Work - 03.13.18

I arrived at work before dawn this morning.  The day was long and by the end of the day I was home with a soar throat.  I parked next to this lamp in the morning and took this photo.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2486 - Cheech and Chong "Big Bambu" - 03.12.18

I brought in a bunch of comedy records to work. This Cheech and Chong's second record sitting on my record player at work.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2485 - The J. Geils Band "Nightmares...And Other Tales From The Vinyl Jungle" - 03.11.18

This is another of my J. Geils records that I am going to bring in to work.  This is a Quadra Disc, which was a surround sound Quadraphonic format in the 70's that didn't last too long.  It is mostly forgotten.  You needed special decoding equipment to get get the full effect of this format, but it plays okay in stereo.  I'd love to hear what quadraphonic sounded like, but I'll probably never invest in the equipment, especially since I just have this one album.  This album has the track "Must Of Got Lost" which is a great track from The J. Geils Band.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2484 - The J. Geils Band "Bloodshot" - 03.10.18

I had brought The J. Geils Band album "Showtime" in to work and playing it prompted a conversation with my office mate about the band.  I told him I'd bring in some earlier records so that he could hear their bluesier beginnings.  I gathered up my records so that I can bring them in next week.  This is their second album "Bloodshot."  This is something I saw today.

Day 2483 - Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman Discs 1-6 Case - 03.09.18

It has been a couple weeks since I have sat down to watch more Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.  I finished disc 1 and I am ready to start disc 2.  This case has the first 6 discs of the set.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2482 - Sade "Diamond Life" - 03.08.18

I brought Sade into work today.  This record was the first thing I listened to when I got in.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2480 - Gladys Knight & The Pips "All The Greatest Hits" - 03.06.18

I brought this record into the office today because late last week I got into a discussion with my office mate about who did the best version of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine."  We both agreed that the Gladys Knight version was the best.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2479 - Donald Duck Wind Up - 03.05.18

I am pretty sure I have photographed this toy before.  I saw it this morning because it had fallen off my desk.  I picked it up and thought it was worthy of another photo.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2478 - Fallen BYU Banner - 03.04.18

My daughter's BYU banner was falling down this morning.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2477 - BYU Bound - 03.03.18

Today was a wonderful day for my daughter.  She was accepted into BYU in Provo, something she has dreamed about since she was about 5 years old.  So today she made the banner in the background so that I could take some photos so that she could post something on instagram with the hash tag #BYUBOUND.  This is the one she liked.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2476 - Mary Poppins CD - 03.02.18

Mary Poppins is one of my favorite movies.  In high school I video taped it off TV and watched it many, many times. I loved the music and I really loved the integration of live action and animation.  It also had stop motion and animatronics and great dancing.  It basically has it all. I picked up this CD at the yard sale down the street.  I love it.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2475 - Joe Jackson "Body And Soul" - 03.01.18

This is Joe Jackson's record "Body and Soul" this is did not bring into work, but I am thinking about it. I just pulled it out this morning for a photo.  This is something I saw today.
