Day 1591 - Frankenberry - 09.30.15

The season for monster cereals is upon us.  This is one of the boxes I bought last year.  I pulled it out this morning for a photo.  This is something I saw today.

Did some more playing around with the new lens this morning.  I get to take photos of things I photographed before, but literally through a new lens.  This is our little shrine to Pee Wee Herman.  This is something I saw today.

At lunch today I walked with a friend down to Ralph's.  These were some pumpkins outside the front door.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1588 - Streets Of Fire - 09.27.15

This evening I digitized a bunch of Christmas songs from albums for my Christmas mix this year.  However I ended the day by listening to the Streets Of Fire soundtrack.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1587 - Wide Angle Nate - 09.26.15

I bought a new camera lens today.  As you can see from this photo it is a wide angle lens.  I did some playing around with it this evening to see what it could do.  This is my son and I really like the way this looks.  The lens is really clear and fast.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1586 - Memorial Field - 09.25.15

Tonight was another night at the high school football game to watch my daughter dance.  This is the gate to Memorial Field at John Burroughs High School.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1585 - Joe Jackson "I'm The Man" - 09.24.15

Hands down my favorite Joe Jackson record.  So many good tracks on this record.  I am particularly fond of the title track "I'm The Man" because there is a line it about skateboards.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1583 - Hüsker Dü ‎"Warehouse: Songs And Stories" - 09.22.15

I pulled this Hüsker Dü record off the shelf this morning for a photo.  I actually like the way the album colors play against the color of the couch cover.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1582 - Two Broke Girls - 09.21.15

This is a Two Broke Girls billboard I pass everyone morning.  It is at Warner Brothers Studios.  I don't actually watch the shot.  I saw the pilot and decided it wasn't for me.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1581 - Nutcracker Auditions Are Done - 09.20.15

This afternoon was the first day of Nutcracker Auditions.  This is before the auditions when the dancers were getting ready and warming up.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1579 - Football Game Sidelines - 09.18.15

I went to a high school football game this evening.  My daughter was dancing with the dance team.  I took this photo of this cart on the sideline.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1578 - The Hobbit - 09.17.15

I found this at the goodwill this week.  When I got home I popped it in and started watching with my wife.  We love this movie and especially we love the music.  We both agreed that it would have been amazing if the Peter Jackson version included the songs and musical numbers from the animated version.  It has been a few years since I had seen it and what really struck me was the quick pace at which the story is told.  After watching the long, long, long Peter Jackson interpretations it is kind of refreshing to watch such quick storytelling.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1577 - Iron Maiden "Two Minutes To Midnight" - 09.16.15

This other day I saw this young girl pass me on the street wearing an Iron Maiden shirt.  Something struck me about it.  I'm not sure If I was reacting to this young girls wearing a shirt for something that was from long before she was born or if I was reacting to the longevity of the band.  It isn't like Iron Maiden is on the charts and burning up the internet with videos, so I find it amazing that they are still attracting fans and young women to boot.  Well, that was on my mind this morning when I thought I needed to take a photo, so I pulled this record off the shelf.  I've had this record since I was in 7th or 8th grade.  This is something I saw today.

My family and I have been listening to the Undisclosed podcast recently.  Like many we were fans of Serial and in some respects I think Undisclosed is even better.  I love all the details and the depths to which they go on their research.  This evening we were listening on my phone.  This is something I saw today.

I found this soundtrack recently at Goodwill.  I've had a digital version of this album for a long time, so it isn't so much a new discovery, but it is great to have it on vinyl.  This is something I saw today.

This is yet another DVD that I picked up recently at the Goodwill.  Have not had a chance to rewatch this classic yet, but it is on my DVD player on a stack of to be watched movies.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1562 - Red Wall - 09.01.15

Today I was planning on going to the New Beverly Cinema to watch "A Fistful of Dollars."  By the end of the day I had a splitting headache and didn't go.  However before work I stopped by to take a photo in the morning.  I also took this photo of the storefront next to the New Beverly.  This is something I saw today.
