I'm on a lamp theme this week.  This is one of the lamps in my family room that I saw when I got home this evening.  It was something I saw today.

Day 983 - Before the Update - 01.29.14

Today we had a company update.  This is my friend Scott before the update.  It was something I saw today.

Day 982 - Sunrise Panorama - 01.28.14

This morning there was another beautiful sunrise.  I decided to take a panorama photo (Actually I combined 2 photos).  I think this does a better job of capturing the real impact of the sky out my window.  It was something I saw today.

Day 979 - Pyramid and Clouds - 01.25.14

Spent the day on the campus of Cal State Long Beach because my daughter had her ABT audition.  I took some photos around the campus.  This is the big blue pyramid.  It was something I saw today.

Before leaving work tonight I snapped this shot of a bottle of wine on my desk.  I received this at Christmas.  It was something I saw today.

Day 977 - Uncle Sam Skeleton - 01.23.14

This skeleton in an Uncle Sam costume is one of my favorite decorations at work.  It was something I saw today.

Day 976 - Black and White Sunrise - 01.22.14

Thought I'd change up my series of sunrises by going black and white.  The sky was still pretty dramatic.  This was something I saw today.

Day 975 - Sunrise Through The Window - 01.21.14

I was up before dawn today so I could see the sun come up.  This was the view looking out my front window as the sky turned pink this morning.  These colors only lasted a few minutes.  It was spectacular.  This photo doesn't do it justice because our window is very foggy/cloudy.  So things are a little duller than they should be.  This was something I saw today.

Day 974 - Bowl of Pineapple - 01.20.14

Today was Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  I had the day off from work.  That meant I had breakfast at home and part of that breakfast was this fresh pineapple.  Yum.  This was something I saw today.

Day 973 - Pearl Harbour - 01.19.14

This evening I went to Viva Cantina for Jonny Whiteside's Birthday Messaround.  One of the 5 great acts was Pearl Harbour and I think they were my favorite band.  This is Pearl rocking the house.  It was something I saw today.

This morning I took some photos of some young dancers for their upcoming auditions.  This is one of the young girl's working with her teacher on her form.  It was something I saw today.

My daughter had an eighth grade dance last night so she was all dressed up.   We took this photo after she got home.  It was something I saw today.

It was another long day at work.  Actually it was an extra long day at work.  As I was walking out I snapped this shot of heat lamps on the loading dock through this door.  This was something I saw today.

Day 967 - Italian Beef Sandwich - 01.13.14

This weekend we had a party and for the party we bought two pounds of Italian beef from Portillo's.  We had some leftovers for dinner tonight.  I had just a regular Italian beef with peppers, but my nephew out did me by topping his sandwich with a little mozzarella and baking it in the oven.  It looked so good I had to take a photo.  It was something I saw today.

Day 966 - Maytag - 01.12.14

We have a Maytag microwave.  At the end of a long day as I was eating some dinner I thought this made for an interesting subject.  It was something I saw today.

Day 965 - A Kiss - 01.11.14

This afternoon I shot photos at a birthday party.  There were lots of kids and lots of opportunities for really cute photos.  This moment between these two in my opinion topped them all.  It was something I saw today.

Day 964 - Sunrise on Catalina - 01.10.14

I love this time of year because there are clouds in the air which make for beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  This sunrise was something I saw today.

Day 963 - Wind Sock At Sunset - 01.09.14

I had a few moments between meetings this afternoon to take some photos.  I took a trip to the top of the parking garage and snapped this photo of the wind sock.  It was something I saw today.

Day 962 - Sunset - 01.07.14

I took some photos at work today and I thought one of those would be the photo of the day, but then when I arrived home this evening the sky was so beautiful that I had to take some more photos.  This sunset is something I saw today.

Day 961 - The Spongebob Squarepants Movie Cereal - 01.06.14

Pulled on of the cereals off the shelf for today's photo.  I loved this movie.  Have no idea how good the cereal was.  This was something I saw today.

Day 960 - Catching Fire Cup - 01.05.14

I'm not sure why this cup was out today.  I think my son had it out last night and left it on the table.  It was something I saw today.

Day 959 - F is for Flag - 01.04.14

We took down the Christmas decorations today and put up a new flag in front of the house.  It was something I saw today.

Day 958 - Sunrise - 01.03.13

I was up early this morning and was able watch a beautiful sunrise emerge.  I stepped out in my bare feet and snapped some pics of the beautiful colors.  I love the way the sky was reflecting in this apartment building's windows.  It was something I saw today.

Day 957 - Mrs. Butterworth - 01.02.13

This is one of my more favorite art projects from when I was in elementary school.  We painted Mrs. Butterworth bottles for Christmas to be candle holders.  I have kept it all these years and still put it out every year.  It was something I saw today.

Day 956 - Basil Plant - 01.01.14

For New Year's Day I got up nice and early and worked on my Nutcracker Book.  That took up a good portion of the morning.  I took a nap this afternoon and then got up and took this picture of our basil plant.  It was something I saw today.
