This weekend we had a party and for the party we bought two pounds of Italian beef from Portillo's. We had some leftovers for dinner tonight. I had just a regular Italian beef with peppers, but my nephew out did me by topping his sandwich with a little mozzarella and baking it in the oven. It looked so good I had to take a photo. It was something I saw today.
As a old Chicagoan, the arrival of Portillo's in Buena Park has been a ray of sunshine. (For those still living in the Windy City, the sun is a brightly colored yellow ball in the sky that brings warmth and a necessary proponent of life. Come to think of it, that pretty much describes an Italian Beef Sandwich. Wet, of course!!!)
