Day 1683 - "The Hateful Eight" Special Roadshow Engagement - 12.31.15

This afternoon my wife, son, his girlfriend and I drove over to the Arclight Cinema in Hollywood to watch the Roadshow Engagement of "The Hateful Eight."  I am so glad we made the extra effort to see this version of the film with an overture and intermission.  It made for a great experience.  This film is fantastic and we all walked away with one of these complimentary booklets.  This was a great way to end 2015.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1682 - Red Puma - 12.30.15

I have wanted a pair of red Pumas for a very long time.  This year for Christmas my sister gave me money specifically so I could buy red Pumas.  So today I finally bought myself a pair of red pumas.  This right shoe is something I saw today.

Day 1681 - Star War Cereal with BB-8 - 12.29.15

Recently a couple new boxes were released for Star Wars cereal.  One has BB-8.  I of course bought a package of each.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1680 - Penguin Pez - 12.28.15

This penguin Pez is something I got in my Christmas stocking this year.  So cute.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1679 - Rattle Snake Mug - 12.27.15

Today on our travels back to California we stopped at the Ciriaco Summet Cafe to pick up a white elephant gift for a party we had tonight.  This rattle snake mug was too good to pass up.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1678 - Snowmen - 12.26.15

These two snowmen are a couple decorations in my mother's house.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1677 - Christmas Dessert - 12.25.15

This evening we had a few Christmas desserts.  This is something called tortoni that my sister makes.  It is sooooo good.  It is basically a homemade ice cream made with heavy cream. Yum.  My son and his girlfriend are in the background.  You can see my son knows what is coming.  His girlfriend has no idea what is in store.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1676 - Christmas Smile - 12.24.15

Santa visited my mother's this evening.  This is my niece's son who as you can see was thrilled to get this present from Santa.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1675 - Coachella Travel Center - 12.23.15

The family and I traveled to Arizona today for the holidays.  We made a pit stop at the Coachella Travel Center.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1674 - No Braces - 12.22.15

This is my daughter after getting he braces off today.  She was all smiles.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1673 - Comic Books - 12.21.15

These are a bunch of comic book collections.  "Tomb Of Dracula" are quite prominent.  You'll notice that it is just volumes 2-4.  That is because I actually have issues 1-25 which are contained in volume 1 as separate issues.  I really like that 70's horror writing.  This particular series was being written by Marv Wolfman, of whom I am a big fan.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1672 - Dole Whip Container - 12.20.15

I am pretty sure I have photographed this before, but today I was busy and lazy when it came to a photo for the blog.  This is a little container in the shape of a Dole Whip from Disneyland.  It sits on of my record shelves.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1671 - Christmas Tree - 12.19.15

Today was a busy day of Christmas shopping.  Pretty much got it all done.  It also meant that I did not take much time to think about a picture for today.  So you get this snap of my tree.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1666 - Rentacrate - 12.14.15

This week at work we are packing everything up because over the holiday break we are moving offices.  Stacks of these rentacrate boxes are everywhere.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1665 - Snow Queen Dances - 12.13.15

Today were the final two performances of The Nutcracker for this year.  This has been a crazy week.  This is my daughter dancing as the Snow Queen.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1664 - Relaxing With A Book - 12.12.15

No Nutcracker today.  It was a nice day off.  This is my mother this evening relaxing reading a book on her iPad in our living room.  She looks nice an cozy.  I like the way her face is lit by the iPad.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1663 - The Snow Queen Waits - 12.11.15

Today were the first two performances of The Nutcracker.  I was in the wings to take photos.  This is my daughter at the Snow Queen waiting for her cue to go on.  I really like all the fog in the shot.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1662 - Sugar Plum Fairy - 12.10.15

Today was another Nutcracker dress rehearsal, which meant a crazy half day at work and then a long afternoon and evening at the Alex theater taking photos.  This is the Sugar Plum Fairy.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1661 - Waiting To Go On - 12.09.15

Today was the first of two Nutcracker dress rehearsals this week.  One of my daughter's roles this year is being a doll in the party scene.  This is her in the wings waiting to go on.  This is something I saw today.

Today was a long day of Nutcracker rehearsals.  It was at RC Dance, but it was a dress rehearsal.  It was nice seeing the girls in make up and costume.  This is something I saw today.

This evening at the Burbank tree lighting ceremony there was a visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.  This is something I saw today.

This evening I drove right from work to my daughter's dance show at John Burroughs High School.  This shot isn't from one of her numbers, but I liked how it came out.  This is something I saw today.

I took this photo as I drove through the Cahuenga pass this morning.  There was lots of stop and go traffic which gave me the opportunity to snap this shot.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1653 - Shopping Cart - 12.01.15

I feel like I have taken a similar photo to this before.  Finding a shopping cart on the sidewalk near my house is somewhat of a regular occurrence.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1652 - Dance Shoes - 11.30.15

Sometimes I feel like our house is drowning in dance things.  This pair of shoes that were left on a dance program on this end table is just one example.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1651 - Flo's Cafe - 11.29.15

This morning my family and I woke up 2AM mountain time, which is 1 AM Pacific time.  We hit the road and drove to Disneyland.  We made it there in 5 1/2 hours.  We had breakfast at the Storytellers Cafe.  It was yummy and we got to meet some Disney characters.  We then went into California adventure for a couple hours before heading home.  This is my daughter in front of Flo's Cafe with some holiday decorations.  As you can see we were there pretty early before the crowds really set in.  This is something I saw today.

I was sick again today and never left my mother's house.  She got out her holiday decorations.  She also had a box of Easter decorations she wanted to give away.  This rabbit was in that box.  This is something I saw today.

Today was Thanksgiving and I was horribly ill.  It did manage to get up and take this photo of my daughter.  Pretty much she asked me to take some photos, which she then put on her instagram.  This is something I saw today.
