Day 1377 - India Sweets and Spices - 02.28.15

This afternoon we ran over to India Sweets and Spices to pick up some black mustard seeds.  You can get them really cheap and in a large amount.  We are planning on some Indian cooking this week.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1376 - Dark Tower - 02.27.15

This is the view from the rooftop patio at work.  With the dark clouds the building across the street looked like a sort of ominous dark tower.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1375 - MOCA Stickers - 02.26.15

Today at lunch I walked down to MOCA.  This is a traffic light post with a bunch of MOCA stickers on it.  It was a cool colorful sort of accidental collective piece of street art.  This was something I saw today.

I drove to work via Vine street this morning so I could snap a photo of the Capitol Records building.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1370 - Break Dancer - 02.21.15

Tonight I took photographs at a 50th birthday party.  The party had an 80's theme and there were a couple of young talented hip hop dancers there.  They did some break dancing and got the crowd going.  It was a lot of fun.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1369 - DreamWorks Campanile Tower - 02.20.15

Today was my last day working for DreamWorks.  It was my home away from home for that last 17 years.  I took this last photo of the Campanile building tower.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1368 - Toothless Plush - 02.19.15

I have brought the last of my things home from work this week.  This Toothless plush toy is one of those things.  He is now next to my Marty zebra plush on our shoe shelf.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1367 - Wonder Woman Season 1 - 02.18.15

I borrowed this box set of Wonder Woman from a friend this last week so I have been watching episodes here and there.  The show is cornball, but the nostalgia is great and I love it.  The thing that still holds up great is the theme song.  Pure gold.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1365 - YAGP Dancers - 02.16.15

This evening my daughter and her friends performed their YAGP dances for the other girls and parents of her studio.  This is them and their dance coach.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1364 - Nolan Porter - 02.15.15

Tonight the family and I went over to Viva Cantina for the 5th anniversary Messaround.  One of the four acts was Nolan Porter who we saw almost a year ago.  He is a real class act.  I snapped  some photos.  This is one that I like a lot.  I think I like the mystery of the photo with his eyes obscured.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1363 - Frito Kid Mug - 02.14.15

Today we visited the Van Eaton Galleries where they were exhibiting a collection of Disneyland memorabilia that is going up for auction later this month.  This is a Frito Kid mug.  It is something I saw today.

Day 1362 - Brisco Country, Jr. - 02.13.15

This week I borrowed this box set of Brisco County, Jr. and I started to watch it.  I have never watched the show, but over the years I had heard that it was really good.  I remember when it was on because it was the year when I was first married.  However it was on Friday nights and I tended to rent movies and not watch television back in those days.  I've watched the first few episodes and it has been fun.  So this is something I saw today.

Day 1361 - Barbed Wire Sunrise - 02.12.15

This morning after a walk with my wife I snapped the photo of barbed wire.  This was on a fence around a park and that is the western sky just before sunrise.  This is something I saw today.

This morning I made some breakfast tacos.  These had eggs, rice red pepper and a touch of hot sauce.  This was something I saw today.

Day 1358 - Je Suis Charlie - 02.09.15

This morning I was over in Culver City for a job interview.  On the drive back I passed this wall with the "Je Suis Charlie" slogan painted on it.  I assume this is a recent work, post Paris shootings.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1357 - Swan Lake at YAGP - 02.08.15

My daughter and her friends danced an excerpt from Swan Lake this afternoon at YAGP.  They did really well.  At the end of the night they were ecstatic for find out that they placed in the top 12 for ensembles.  This is pretty good for being their first year.  I'm so proud of all of them.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1356 - Marios - 02.07.15

Today we were back down in Huntington Beach for YAGP.  Barb and I had lunch/dinner at Mario's.  The chicken tortilla soup was sooooo good.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1355 - Youth America Grand Prix - 02.06.15

Tonight my daughter danced in the Youth America Grand Prix (AKA YAGP).  She danced two variations and was of course beautiful.  There were signs that said no cameras, but I took a few covert snaps.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1353 - Pre-Dawn Fog - 02.04.15

This is outside my house at about 5:30 this morning.  The fog was super thick.  All this photo needs is an old priest along the sidewalk and I'd have an Exorcist moment.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1346 - Sunrise Over Sunset Canyon Dr. - 01.28.15

This morning during my walk I took my first photo with my new iPhone.  Sure it doesn't have the resolution of my Canon, but I think it was still an compelling image.  I ran it through some apps on the phone so enhance colors and put this border on it and such.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1345 - Scooby - 01.27.15

It rained last night and this Scooby-Doo was left out for trash.  I thought the way it was slumped down made for a sad image.  This is something I saw today.

The football field at my daughter's school is called memorial field.  After dropping her off this morning I took a picture of the "field" portion of the sign over the gate.  This is something I saw today.
