Day 3530 - The Dark Knight - 01.19.21

Over the holidays I was digging though some boxes in my garage for some old VHS tapes and stumbled upon a box of toys.  I took the Batman doll because I knew that I wanted to put him out on this little ledge as soon as I cleared away the Christmas decorations I had there.  Well, this past weekend the Christmas decoration were packed up and put back in the garage and Batman took his place in out living room.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2796 - Batmobile - 01.16.19

I can't quite remember where I picked this Batmobile up.  I probably picked it up at a yard sale.  It is beat up and falling apart and not worth anything, but i still think it's cool.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2780 - 1989 Batman Figure - 12.31.18

This is my 1989 Batman action figure.  I bought him back in the day when the movie came out.  I had him hanging from a shelf in my dorm room.  His little utility belt pulls out with a string attached and that is what I used to hang him from my shelf above my bed.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2779 - The Joker - 12.30.18

This is a Joker toy I found at a thrift store way back in college.  It was probably the Fall of 1989 or maybe the beginning of 1990.  The toy is from 1984 DC Super Powers collection.  I love this guy.  I liked him more than the Joker figure from the 1989 Batman movie.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2428 - Hefti In Gotham City - 01.13.18

This Neal Hefti record is another record from my Arizona haul.  The tracks are fun, but I honestly was expecting them to sound more Batman like or that I would recognize some of them.  I really didn't.  That isn't a bad thing, but was just a surprise.  I gave this record a listen today and this is something I saw today.

Day 2148 - Dark Knight Statue - 04.08.17

Today my wife and her niece went on the Warner Bros. tour.  There is a room with a bunch of Batman vehicles as well as this statue of the Dark Knight.  I was very happy with the way this photo came out.  In the afternoon we went to China town.  It was a good day.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2141 - Wonder-Con Escalator - 04.01.17

Today my wife and I ventured to Anaheim for Wonder-Con.  We love Wonder-Con and we had a great time.  We spent the morning looking at and buying artwork.  We had a nice lunch at the Marriot next door and then returned to search for comics.  We ended up spending over an hour at one booth digging through their dollar boxes.  We gathered a huge stack of dollar comics and then brought those to the car.  We spent a little while longer seeing what was left of the floor and then left.  It was a nice low pressure day.  This is a view of one of the escalators and was something I saw today.

Lego Batman is taking over everything around Warner Brothers.  This is one of the bus stops by the studio.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1926 - Batman Year One - 08.30.16

Today I just looked for something off of my bookshelf to photograph  I chose this edition of Batman Year One.  I wasn't expecting to get a very interesting photo at first.  Honestly I was just trying to knock something out before work.  However I like the shadows and I like my angle and I like the scale in the frame.  I think it all comes together like the book is hiding in the shadows.  And Batman's pose on the cover works for me as well.  To me it is sort of a testament to this whole endeavor of just shooting something every day, because eventually you get something interesting almost by accident.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1071 - Batman Year One Part 1 - 10.27.14

This is one of the comics I picked up last week at WonderCon.  Batman Year One is one of the great Batman story lines of all time.  As you can see it was written by Frank Miller.  This was his follow up to The Dark Knight Returns. This was a four part story and a lot of it definitely inspired Nolan's work with the Dark Knight.  If you've never read it, do so now.  This was something I saw today.

Day 625 - Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 - 02.04.13

Today for my lunch hour I ran out to Best Buy to buy myself a little gift.  I bought Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2, which I am watching this evening.  This first part was excellent and I have a feeling the second part will be just as good if not better.  Part 2 has Batman and the Joker facing off as well as Superman and Batman going at it.  Comic bliss.  So this was something I saw today.
