Day 3263 - The Go Devils "I'm In Pittsburgh And It's Raining / You're Gone" - 04.27.20

I continued listening to 7-inch records today. I listened to this record by The Go Devils and was reminded that the labels on this record are on the wrong side.  I wanted to listen to "I'm In Pittsburgh And It's Raining", but instead got "You're Gone" because of this mislabeled side.  I ended up listening to both sides.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3257 - "Oh The Places We'll Go When Quarantine Ends!" - 04.21.20

This is a sign a family down the street made.  They have a couple of kids and I am sure they are ready for the quarantine to end.  I was impressed by this art project.  This is something I saw today.

My wife is out of town this weekend and so I went on a walk around Burbank alone.  I took my time and took a route I wouldn't normally take and took lots of photos alone the way.  This Look sign is at a railroad crossing along Buena Vista Street.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3248 - Old Green Store Front - 04.12.20

This afternoon we took a walk down Burbank Blvd and I snapped this photo of one of the old store fronts.  I have been wanting to take a picture of this building for a long time because to the texture and color.  I wish that little tree wasn't in front of it, but oh well.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3247 - Vacant Parking Lot - 04.11.20

This morning my wife and I did what we are calling the "long walk" which is about a 4 mile walk where we walk down Victory over to Magnolia, up Magnolia and the cut back home around Buena Vista.  Along Victory we pass Hobby Lobby and what used to be the Burbank Toys "R" Us.  I have never seen the parking lot so empty. In fact I brought my camera today on our walk just to capture some of empty Burbank.  It is quite remarkable.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3246 - Pink's Loves You - 04.10.20

This morning I drove over to the New Beverly Cinema to see if by any chance they were putting out paper copies of the calendar that was online.  It was basically a collection of images because the theater is closed during the covid-19 crisis.  They didn't have one.  On the way home I stopped by Pink's and took this photo.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3245 - "The Rise Of Skywalker" Steekbook Case - 04.09.20

Today we finished the Star Wars saga with "The Rise Of Skywalker" and boy did it still work.  The emotional impact was still there.  This is the steelbook case for "The Rise Of Skywalker."  This is something I saw today.

Day 3244 - "The Rise Of Skywalker" Blu-ray - 04.08.20

Today we finished "The Last Jedi", but we weren't able to get to "The Rise Of Skywalker."  With that said we thought about it and I took the disc out for a photo to keep the run of photos consistent.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3243 - "The Last Jedi" Blu-ray - 04.07.20

Today we started "The Last Jedi."  It was a very busy day and we weren't able to start until later in the evening, but my wife and I just got too tired and had to check out.  We'll continue tomorrow.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3242 - "The Force Awakens" Blu-ray - 04.06.20

Today we jumped forward to the modern trilogy, starting with "The Force Awakens."  This is something I saw today.

Day 3241 - "Return Of The Jedi" DVD - 04.05.20

Today I am going to enjoy some Ewoks and the original Ewok celebration song.  That was definitely one of the tragic losses in the new versions of this film.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3240 - "The Empire Strikes Back" DVD - 04.04.20

On today's Star Wars menu was arguably the best film in the whole series, "The Empire Strikes Back."  It has all of my favorite things, monster makeups and costumes, puppets, stop motion, models, optical FX, practical FX, laser swords and a wampa. This film also may have the best all around score of all the films.  It is a pure masterpiece.  Today I didn't watch this DVD, but instead watched the descecialized version 2.7.  Thank you internet gods.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3239 - "Star Wars" DVD - 04.03.20

Today my wife and I started the day by watching "Star Wars."  Technically we did not watch this DVD.  We watched a digital despecialized version thanks to the hard work of some diligent fans.  This is one of the bonus discs that came out in the early 2000's that had the transfer of the film from the Laserdiscs before they were messed with.  It is the version I usually watched before the despecialized versions existed.  I loved it dust and all.  These next couple days as I work my way through the original trilogy, it is these bonus disc DVD's that I will feature here.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3238 - "Rogue One A Star Wars Story" Blu-ray - 04.02.20

Today I watched most of "Rogue One."  I started it with my wife, but had to get back to work at one point.  She continued on which was fine because I had just watched the film last week.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3237 - "Solo A Star Wars Story" Blu-ray - 04.01.20

Today the Star Wars installment was Solo, which I had watched again in recent months.  This time I was able to watch is in one sitting and I still enjoyed it.  Donald Glover is so great and Lando.  It really is too bad this film didn't do well enough to warrant another installment.  This is something I saw today.
