Day 1904 - Fearless Vampire Killers & The Wrecking Crew - 08.08.16
This evening I went to the cinema for a Sharon Tate double feature. The night was amazing. The evening started with a hilarious Looney Toons short "Hyde and Go Tweet" with Sylvester and Tweety. Then we have "Fearless Vampire Killers" which is a movie I love. I have seen it many times, but never on the big screen with an audience. It was a whole new experience and the audience was great. Lots of laughs. And the print was beautiful. Then between the films Quentin got up and introduced "The Wrecking Crew." It is always great to hear him talk about films because he's so passionate. Then he teased the audience by saying that they had a surprise screening of something after the film if anyone wanted to stick around. Well of course everyone did. So The Wrecking Crew was fun and silly. The use of Dino's songs was clever and funny. After the film there was a short break and after five minutes or so the lights went out. Then to my giddy surprise the Batman TV show logo came up. The crowd erupted. We were then treated to a 35 mm print of "The Bat's Kow Tow." The episode had everything. Julie Newmar as Catwoman. Catwoman stealing the voices of Chad and Jeremy. Cameos by Steve Allen and Don Ho. And lastly a near kiss between Batman and Catwoman. It was glorious and a very long night at the cinema. This photo was taken in the morning on the way to work. This is something I saw today.
