Day 1714 - Motels - 01.31.16

I picked this record up last weekend in Huntington Beach.  It is the first Motels record.  I digitized it this evening. This is something I saw today. 

Day 1713 - Pinocchio's Daring Journey - 01.30.16

Today my wife and I completed our challenge to ride every open ride at Disneyland in one day.  We rode 25 of the 25 open rides in the park today.  Plus we had a little time to spare at the end of the day to go to the Tiki Room.  Part of my strategy to not get too worn out was to not carry around my big camera and just document the day with my phone.  I chronicled each ride on instagram.  This is Pinocchio's Daring Journey with a bunch of phone digital FX to make it interesting.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1712 - Sunset on Wilshire Blvd. - 01.29.16

I used my phone to take this photo at work this evening.  Hence the reason the image is sort of grainy.  But the sunset was amazing.  This was something I saw today.

Day 1711 - Phone Call On The Balcony - 01.28.16

This afternoon when I stepped out on the balcony at work to take a photo a friend also stepped out to make a phone call.  This is something I saw today.

It was another beautiful sunrise this morning.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1709 - Pep Boys - 01.26.16

Recently I have had trouble with one of my headlights.  It has a short or is loose so it sometimes turns off.  I wiggle it and it turns on.  Then just this last week I had a tail light go out.  Then this morning my other headlight burned out.  Needless to say that left me with only high beam headlights and I couldn't drive around in those very long without getting everyone angry.  So today I left work mid day to go to Pep Boys to get all my car light needs fixed.  It was a long afternoon waiting at Pep Boys.  Ugh.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1708 - Wilshire Courtyard Interior - 01.25.16

This is one of the big open areas on the first floor of 5700 Wilshire Blvd. where I work.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1707 - Huntington Beach Pier - 01.24.16

We spent the night in Huntington Beach Last night and then spent most of the day down by the beach.  The weather was perfect.  We slept in and had a slow morning.  We had lunch at Sancho's Tacos which was super Yummy.  Then we hung out on the pier and walked around the shops.  In the evening we watch some more YAGP performances and attended the awards ceremony.  It was a full and pleasant day.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1706 - YAGP Performance - 01.23.16

This is my daughter performing at the Youth America Grand Prix today.  This was a solo within a group piece.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1705 - Fun Friday Shooting Pool - 01.22.16

Tonight was the first "Fun Friday" in our new location.  Fun Friday is a monthly event which is basically a party after work on Friday.  Here are some coworkers shooting some pool.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1704 - Sunrise Over Wet Parking Garage - 01.21.16

This is a parking garage next to the building in which I work. This is a view from my office.  I liked the way the sun was catching the patches of water.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1703 - The 1st WTF Wednesday - 01.20.16

Tonight was the first installment of WTF Wednesdays at work.  This is an event where we watch movies that perhaps were not appreciated upon release, but have since gained a cult following or re-evaluation.  Tonight's movie was Flash Gordon.  This is the gathering of the folks at work who stayed after hours to screen this wonderfully crazy film.  It looked and sounded great in the new screening room at work.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1701 - Parking Garage Wall - 01.18.16

I don't know exactly what is going on here.  This is something leaking through the wall in the underground parking garage at work.  It has some interesting colors.  It is something I saw today.

Day 1700 - Wayne Newton Danke Schoen - 01.17.16

I love this Wayne Newton record.  I've owned it for quite a long time and it was one of the first records I remember digitizing back in the early 2000's when I started ripping vinyl.  Pulled it off the shelf today for a photo.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1699 - Trader Joe's - 01.16.16

Spent today doing what my wife and I usually do on Saturdays, visit several grocery stores to do our shopping.  Trader Joe's was one of the stops today.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1697 - Emergency Shut Off - 01.14.16

This morning I got gas at Costco and I took this photo.  The attendant gave me a suspicious look when I took the photo.  I did my best to ignore him and get back in my car.  He never actually said anything.  This is something I saw today.

The rain yesterday really cleared out the sky in Los Angeles.  It also dumped snow on the mountains.  I took this photo this morning when I got to work.  It really shows how crisp and clean the view was.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1688 - Bear Republic Racer 5 I.P.A. - 01.05.16

Another new feature at work is the beer tap.  There are a couple selections to partake of in the later hours of the day.  I'm not a drinker and I don't know anything about beer, but I liked the name of this one.  This is something I saw today.

Today was my first day at work in our new office space.  It is really nice.  We have a great lounge area with a pool table.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1686 - Pink Sunrise - 01.03.16

Even though it was Sunday and the last day of my vacation to sleep in, I was up early.  I love being up early, especially when there is a beautiful sunrise.  This is something I saw today.

This evening my wife and I had a lovely home cooked dinner together.  Grilled chicken breast, Gujarati green beans and a mushroom dish from Trader Joe's.  Yum.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1684 - New Year's Day At Disneyland - 01.01.16
