Day 1469 - Parachute Man - 05.31.15

Parachute men were some of favorite toys as a kid.  There were just a few different molds and they were super cheap. I always thought the molds were funny. There were other versions of the parachute men.  Some were soldiers and were larger for instance, but I always loved these little ones that were more cartoonish. I loved the simplicity of the toy.  Fold up the parachute and then throw it as high as you could and watch it float down.  Over the years I bought many of these little guys.  Eventually the stings would rip through the plastic and you'd have to get a new one, but they were super cheap.  Later in the 90's as an adult I picked up a few and left the rubber bands around them.  The rubber band around this one is getting all cracked from age.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1468 - Angel City Brewery - 05.30.15

Tonight my wife and I went to an event for work.  It was down in the arts district in Los Angeles.  We started at an arcade and then walked over to Angel City Brewery for some eats.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1464 - Twilight Zone Key Chain - 05.26.15

This is a key chain that I have had for years.  I came across it yesterday during my Spring cleaning.  I think I got this for Christmas one year.  It was something I saw today.

Day 1463 - I Survived Chicken Day 1981 - 05.25.15

This is a button I got in 5th grade.  Chicken Day was a day where our class broke up into teams and we boiled whole chickens and made chicken soup.  We had to then keep all the bones and then as a team assemble the bones as best we could into a chicken skeleton. We had a week or so to put the skeleton together.  It was one of the more memorable projects I did as a kid.  This was a button our teacher made to commemorate the day.  I came across it today which doing some cleaning.  It was something I saw today.

Day 1462 - 60th Anniversary Mickey Ears - 05.24.15

This is my set of 60th anniversary ears that I bought yesterday at Disneyland.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1461 - Pirates of the Caribbean Line - 05.23.15

Today we went to Disneyland.  It has been a while since we had been because we have not have annual passes for a couple years.  We have been saving money so we could buy passes for the 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration this year.  The celebration kicked off yesterday so today was day 2 and so the park was packed.  This is a slice of the day showing the Pirates of the Caribbean line. My favorite detail in this photo is the girl hopping the chain.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1459 - Eraserhead Soundtrack - 05.21.15

Eraserhead holds a sentimental place in my heart.  Besides being a crazy surrealistic trip of a movie it is also one of the first two movies I watched with my wife when we were in high school.  The other movie being Saturday Night Fever.  This album is something I saw today.
