Day 1224 - The Descendents At The Fox Theater - 09.28.14

Tonight my son and I went to see The Descendents at the Fox Theater in Pomona.  The Bombpops and Off opened.  The Bombpops were a bit boring.  Off was pretty good.  The Descendents were amazing.  The only lame thing about the evening was the venue.  You had to arrive early to get a wristband to be able to go down to the floor and get close to the stage.  I did not have a wristband and so was stuck standing with a bunch of other old folks like myself.  I would have much more preferred to have been in the mix closer to the stage.  Oh well, live and learn.  This is the marquee outside the theater.  This was something I saw today.

Day 1223 - Olive Oil - 09.27.14

My daughter had one of her favorite snacks this afternoon after dance, fresh French bread and olive oil.  I took this photo of our bottle of olive oil while she was eating.  It was something I saw today.

Day 1222 - Disney's Painful Sarcasm - 09.26.14

I got this in the mail yesterday.  I opening it today and thought is was a bit of a hurtful joke.  It says that they want me back as an annual passholder, but based on everything Disneyland has done recently I know that the opposite is true.  They are doing everything they can to cut down on the number of annual passholders by raising fees and even cancelling a whole level of passes.  I wish I could afford to be a passholder, but it has gotten soooooo expensive.  So when I opened this piece of mail I thought that surely this sentence must be intended to be read sarcastically.  That is how I read it and it made me sad.  This was something I saw today.

If this napkin were a character in a film noire, the bars would symbolize that this character is feeling caged or trapped.  That is what I was thinking when I saw this napkin this morning.  It is a caged napkin.  This was something I saw today.

Day 1217 - Nutcracker Auditions Day 2 - 09.21.14

I was back taking photos for day 2 of auditions.  At one point I was lying on the ground trapped behind a row of girls so I took photos of their feet.  This was something I saw today.

Even though it is not Christmas time yet, we have this box of Christmas ornament hangers out.  We bought these at an estate sale because we liked the box.  We figured it was easier just to put them out instead of dig out the Christmas boxes just to through this in there.  This was something I saw today.
