Day 735 - Chalk Line - 05.25.13
We got up early today and drove to Santa Barbara for the Il Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival. We had breakfast at Sambo's which was yummy. It was interesting to see all the different methods the artists had for doing their art. Most did lay down a grid, but even that was done several different ways. Some had a carpenter's chalk line. This man used a level as a straight edge. I liked the way this photo came out because of the composition of the lines. Not only the chalk line, but the compositional lines of the man's hands and the woman's hand in the background. It all just comes together. It was something I saw today.
