Day 498 - Angels Rehearse - 09.30.12

Today was the first rehearsal for the Angels for this year's production of The Nutcracker at The Red Chair.  I love how in the moment everyone is in this photo.  It was something I saw today.

Day 497 - Parent Meeting - 09.29.12

This morning was the parent meeting for The Nutcracker.  Everyone gathered at the Little White Chapel in Burbank.  It was something I saw today.

Day 496 - Mattress - 09.28.12

Next to my house there were a bunch of mattresses set out for the trash.  You can see how stained and gross this one was.  It was something I saw today.

Day 493 - Garage Spider - 09.25.12

As I walked up the stairs in the parking garage to get my car at the end of the day I saw this creepy spider in a web by one of the lights.  It was something I saw today.

Day 492 - Greener River - 09.24.12

There's been a consistent flow of water in the river behind work recently and so there are some nice green patches here and there.  It was something I saw today.

Day 491 - Dancer's Back - 09.23.12

Nutcracker season has officially begun.  Auditions were today and I was there to take photos.  This young dancer's back was something I saw today.

Day 490 - Sunrise In Gilbert, AZ - 09.22.12

I got up around 4AM at my mother's house in Gilbert, AZ this morning.  I stepped into the backyard when the sun finally started to rise.  It was fantastic and it was something I saw today.

Today we celebrated my father's 80th birthday.  There was a lot of good food.  This tasty bruschete was something I saw today.

Day 488 - Windmills At Sunset - 09.20.12

Today I drove to Arizona for my father's birthday.  We hit the wind farm just outside Palm Springs just at sunset and so I pulled over to take some photos.  I took several in an effort to get the props lined up as they spun.  This was the closest one.  It was something I saw today.

Noticed this large broken mirror in the alley next to my house this morning while taking my daughter to school.  I decided to revisit it when I got home in the evening for this photo.  It was something I saw today.

Day 485 - Mustache Shoes - 09.17.12

My daughter painted these shoes this past summer.  They were out in the living room and something I saw today.

Day 484 - Sunset and Telehone Lines - 09.16.12

After yesterday's photo shoot I was wiped out today.  I think I got a little dehydrated.  I was just beat today.  In fact I took a nap this afternoon and slept over 3 hours.  By the time I got up the day was just about over.  I made dinner and then stepped out on the porch and snapped this shot of the last light of day.  It was something I saw today.

Day 483 - Wonder Woman Reader - 09.15.12

I did a photo shoot at my house today.  We cleared out the living room to simplify things and took some photos with various props and outfits.  This one of Alice Orozco reading Wonder Woman is a favorite.  It was something I saw today.

Day 482 - Playground Blocks - 09.14.12

Took a drive through Griffith Park this morning before work.  Stopped at one of the playgrounds and took some photos of the equipment.  This was a set of block sort of things to climb on or sit on.  It was something I saw today.

Day 481 - Oreo Box - 09.13.12

This evening when I got home there was an empty box of Oreos on the dining room table.  Wish I could have had one.  It was something I saw today.

Day 480 - Bill Oberst Jr. - 09.12.12

I did a recording session with Bill Oberst Jr. today.  I had him record some narration in the voice of one of his characters for my 2012 Halloween Mix.  It sounded pretty creepy and should add to a creepy mood on the mix.  This was something I saw today.

Day 479 - Cinestyle Test - 09.11.12

This may seem like a pretty random photo of a bottle, but that is because it kind of is.  Tonight I downloaded something called Cinestyle from the technicolor website.  It is basically some technicolor settings I put on my camera.  I shot some pictures with this Cinestyle and some without the settings to do some comparisons.  This photo is with the Cinestyle.  It was something I saw today.

Day 478 - Drain Pipe - 09.10.12

I took a few moments to step away from my desk today and step out onto the patio at work.  The sun felt good. Along the side of the building was this drain pipe.  It was something I saw today.

Day 477 - Hallway - 09.09.12

It was another music filled day.  The later afternoon into the evening was particularly music filled around the house.  So this is a photo of the music flowing out of the record room into the rest of the house.  It was something I saw today.

Day 476 - Matryoshka Dolls - 09.08.12

I've featured these Matryoshka dolls before.  I barely left the house today.  I spent almost 10 hours reorganizing my record room.  Now I don't want to do anything but enjoy listening to records and perhaps read some comic books.  Not in the mood for searching for a photo.  So these dolls by the front door were something I saw today.

Day 475 - Pink and Purple Sky - 09.07.12

I know this isn't really what the sky looked like at sunset, but I don't care.  It was amazing.  Don't get me wrong, but when I threw this filter on the shot in Lightroom it just became something else entirely.  I don't even have the right words to describe it. All I can say is that this was something I saw today.

Day 474 - Lucky Pony - 09.06.12

Annual poker tournament at work today during lunch.  One player had a lucky pony on the table.  It was something I saw today.

Day 473 - Pink Clouds at Dawn - 09.05.12

Skies like this one I saw this morning should be enough to inspire me to get my lazy bones out of bed every morning.  Then again you only get amazing skies like this if there are clouds in the sky to catch the light.  Southern California is not very consistent with the clouds.  Anyways this morning was brilliant and this was something I saw today.
