Day 284 - Reserved - 02.29.12

Happy Leap Day everyone! Today was our company update. Anyone who works for my company would know by the Diet Coke that this seat was reserved for the big boss. It was something I saw today.

Day 283 - Row of Tables - 02.28.12

When I was leaving work tonight, there was a crew of people prepping for a company update tomorrow. Part of what that entailed was moving all the tables out of the cafeteria and lining them up along this walkway. I saw this as I was leaving and got the camera from my car and walked all the way back just for this picture. It was something I saw today.

Day 282 - Push Pins - 02.27.12

Did some brainstorming at work today which meant we had pins and note cards on hand. These were something I saw today.

Day 281 - Palm Tree And Haze - 02.26.12

Boy was it hazy today. I looked across the valley this afternoon and the everything was white. I could barely see the mountains on the other side of the valley. The white made it nice to see this palm tree silhouette. It was something I saw today.

Day 280 - The Dapper Dans - 02.25.12

Had a quick visit to the Magic Kingdom today with my wife. We went for just a few hours and the only ride we went on was one of the old cars down Main Street USA. We spent out time looking in shops and catching some of the musical shows. We caught the Dapper Dans in the morning outside the Disneyland Fire Department. They were something I saw today.

Day 279 - Deserts - 02.24.12

There was a pre-Oscar weekend party at work this evening. The desert table looked amazing. This desert tray was something I saw today.

Day 278 - Benched - 02.23.12

I have to confess right here at the top, that this kid wasn't actually benched as far as I know. I swung by the park near my house on the way home from work and there were some kids having soccer practice. Just out of frame was the rest of this kid's team practicing. I don't know if he was just tired or what. I thought he made for an interesting photo the way he is looking out on what appears to be an empty field. Again in full disclosure there were actually a ton of people at the park. I just happened to get a photo at just the right time and the right angle to make it look empty. Ah camera magic. So anyway, this was something I saw today.

Day 277 - Morning Tree Branches - 02.22.12

Brought the camera on the morning walk this morning. I've passed this tree many times, but the silhouette really caught my eye today. It was something I saw today.

Day 276 - Lagoon At Night - 02.21.12

Had a bit of a late night at work this evening. While waiting for someone else, I picked up the camera to take some photos around the campus. This is a view looking over a small lagoon back at the building I work in. It was something I saw today.

Day 275 - One Way Ivy - 02.20.12

Visited a thrift store today in Burbank. In the back of the parking lot I noticed this one way sign and thought it was interesting how the ivy seemed to be growing in the same direction as if following the sign's direction. It was something I saw today.

Day 274 - Merry-Go-Round Sign - 02.19.12

Went walking in Griffith Park this morning with my wife. We parked near the Merry-Go-Round and this sign. It was something I saw today.

Day 273 - Dawn over Olive Park - 02.18.12

Got up early and went to Olive park with my wife this morning for a walk. The weather was beautiful and the sky was gorgeous. It was a great way to kick off the day. This was something I saw today.

Day 272 - Salt and Pepper - 02.17.12

As I sat eating breakfast this morning at work I took notice of these salt and pepper shakers and how they looked against the light bouncing off the table. I thought it would make for an interesting subject. It was something I saw today.

Day 271 - Cook's Bottles - 02.16.12

There was a toast at work this afternoon. There was champagne on hand for everyone to toast with. This crate of champagne bottles was something I saw today.

Day 270 - Glendale at Sunset - 02.15.12

I was back in California and back at work today. Had some clouds and rain today, but the sky started to clear at the end of the day. Stepped out on the balcony at work and looked out toward downtown Glendale and took this picture. It was something I saw today.

Day 269 - Wrightwood Avenue Across from Kelvyn Park

Went on a quick tour of old neighborhoods that my parents and my wife's family grew up in in Chicago. A block away from Kelvyn Park High School is Wrightwood Avenue. On that corner is Kelvyn Park. We stopped to take a picture of the high school because my mother went to the school On the walk back to the car (we parked next to the park on Wrightwood Avenue down the street from the house my mother grew up in) I looked down the street and saw this pretty scene of the trees and the newly fallen snow. It was something I saw today.

Day 268 - Canon Powershot - 02.13.12

It was mostly a sad day for the family. I took some photos of that sad event, but didn't feel that they were something I should share here. This photo of my daughter taking a photo of me seemed a little more appropriate for public consumption. It was something I saw today.

Day 267 - Waiting At LAX - 02.12.12

Flew to Chicago today. Got up nice and early for an 8:10 flight. As I waited at the terminal I snapped some photos. This man was something I saw today.

Day 266 - Valentine Decoration - 02.11.12

It is Valentine season and I saw this decoration today at my daughter's dance studio. I was something I saw today.

Day 265 - Village Church - 02.10.12

The Village Church is just a few blocks around the corner from my house. I always find it a bit funny that it has this bright neon green sign. Something about neon doesn't say church or reverence. That may be just me, though. So it was something I saw today.

Day 264 - Locker Lock - 02.09.12

Open house tonight at my daughter's school. Visited all of her classes and before we left we picked up her backpack in her locker. This is her open locker and was something I saw today.

Day 263 - Bart Simpson Cookie Jar - 02.08.12

Another busy day at work so I didn't get to take a photo until I got home in the evening. This is a Bart Simpson cookie jar we got at a garage sale years ago. It was something I saw today.

Day 262 - Water Gauge - 02.07.12

It was a gloomy cloudy day today in Burbank. When I got to work I parked near the top floor. I went up to the top in search of a photo and I found this gauge. It was something I saw today.

Day 261 - Garbage Day - 02.06.12

Got home a little earlier tonight. The sun hadn't quite gone all the way down and I took the garbage bins to the street. This bin with the blue top is our recycling bin. It was something I saw today.

Day 260 - Little Picnic Table - 02.05.12

My kids are too big for this little picnic table, but there was a time when they weren't. It now sits in our backyard with weeds growing around it. It was something I saw today.

Day 259 - Sewing Tomato - 02.04.12

Finally a quiet day at home. Watched Spider-Man 1 and 3 with my daughter who is still taking it easy after being sick. I noticed this nice photo opportunity in our dining room, where my wife has a table set up with her latest sewing project. She's doing costumes for my daughter's play at school. This was something I saw today.

Day 258 - Exit Gate - 02.03.12

My daughter was sick today and so I ran home at lunch to see how she was doing and to make her some lunch. How does this relate to this photo? Well, it meant that I parked much higher in the parking structure at work, than I normally do because I left and came back after lunch. So when I went to my car I saw this view looking over the turn around area leading to the gate to leave work. So this evening it was something I saw today.

Day 257 - Bette Davis Park - 02.02.12

I drive by Bette Davis Park every morning. This morning there was a bit of a haze in the air which looked very cool in the park. It made for a nice light background behind the silhouetted trees. The trees also form some interesting shapes as you can see. So this was something I saw today.

Day 256 - Crossing The Bridge - 02.01.12

I had a few minutes this afternoon to step out of the office and spent a few moments watching people cross this bridge. I featured this bridge once before, but from on the bridge itself. It was something I saw today.
