Day 548 - Snow Globe - 11.19.12

We had a toast at work for the upcoming opening of Rise of the Guardians.  We also had this giant snow globe that people could get in for pictures.  It was something I saw today.

Day 547 - Dancer and a Red Wall - 11.18.12

This is one of the dancers my daughter dances with.  This afternoon's Nutcracker rehearsal was at another studio in North Hollywood called Independence Studio.  The studio we were in had a great red wall.  It was something I saw today.

Day 546 - Rainy Alley - 11.17.12

It was rainy for much of the day today.  During one of the breaks I stepped out to take a photo of our alley.  It was something I saw today.

Day 545 - Diwali Dancing - 11.16.12

Happy Diwali everyone.  Today at work we celebrated Diwali over lunch.  It was really fun.  A group of employees choreographed a Bollywood style dance to 3 songs.  It was very cool.  This dancer was something I saw today.

Day 544 - Railing - 11.15.12

Another railing from work.  Nothing too interesting.  I've just been so busy that my strategy this week has been to find something quickly in the morning and get it out of the way.  So this railing was something I saw today.

Day 543 - Switchback - 11.14.12

There is one walkway at work which zigzags like a mountain switchback.  This is one of the turns. It was something I saw today.

Day 542 - Campanile Building 1020 - 11.13.12

I passed this sign this morning leaving the parking garage.  I thought a shallow depth of field shot might be interesting.  It was something I saw today.

Day 541 - Caution - 11.12.12

Back to the photos at work after a weekend of exciting photo shoots.  These caution signs were something I saw today.

Day 540 - Sunset Pose - 11.11.12

This evening we did a family outing up the the Griffith Observatory.  I took photos of some friends and then right before we left we did a couple photos of my daughter.  She has a pose she wanted to capture.  This was something I saw today.

Day 539 - On Point At The Pier - 11.10.12

Got up before dawn and headed down to our favorite beach photo spot, Manhattan Beach.  This morning we spent all our time on the pier shooting.  This one is one of my favorites.  It was something I saw today.

Day 538 - Choir - 11.09.12

Went to my daughter's choir performance tonight.  All the acts were great.  It was something I saw today.

Day 537 - Ceiling Lights - 11.08.12

These holiday lights are up year round in this production office.  I walk down this hallway several times a day and have noted that there might be an interesting photo opportunity.  I finally remembered to bring my camera along to a meeting so I could snap a photo afterwards.  This was something I saw today.

Day 536 - Parking Alone - 11.07.12

Thought this one car in the parking garage this morning looked a little lonely.  It was something I saw today.

Day 535 - Fry's - 11.06.12

Had to swing by Fry's tonight looking for a hard drive.  Didn't find what I needed, but I did take a photo.  This was something I saw today.

Day 534 - 2 Maids Truck - 11.05.12

Noticed this van on the way home this evening.  I liked also catching the sun setting behind the building.  It was something I saw today.

Day 533 - Angel Hands - 11.04.12

More Nutcracker rehearsals today. When the little angels perform they have their hands together as seen in this photo.  These are the hands of one of the little angel dancers.  It was something I saw today.

Day 532 - Watching Rehearsal - 11.03.12

Nutcracker rehearsals today.  This is the Dolls rehearsal.  I stayed out of the room today, but caught this view of one of the girls watching the rehearsal through the window.  It was something I saw today.

Day 531 - Moonboy Topiary - 11.02.12

Another busy day and so I took a photo first thing in the morning.  As I sat eating some breakfast I noticed this view of the Moonboy topiary.  It was something I saw today.

Day 530 - Workers At Night - 11.01.12

It was a very long day at work and I didn't leave until late.  I snapped this photo of a couple men who I believe were part of the night crew.  It was something I saw today.

Day 529 - Halloween Signs - 10.31.12

I finally got back to work today.  The bummer part of the whole day was the fact that I was booked in meeting all day long because I had bumped my Monday and Tuesday meetings to today.  I even worked through lunch.  So when there was all sorts of cool Halloween activities happening at work, I couldn't break free to take any photos.  I pretty much knew the day was going to be like that from the start which is why I took this picture first thing in the morning.  It was something I saw today.

Day 528 - Toast - 10.30.12

Another day home sick with bland food like toast.  This is 3 days of toast now.  Ugh!  This was something I saw today.

Day 527 - Halloween Pee Wee 2012 - 10.29.12

Another sick day around the house.  I resorted to another photo of a decoration.  Pee Wee has been decorated for the holiday.  It was something I saw today.

Day 526 - Sparkly Skull - 10.28.12

This may be too much information, but today's photo is the result of being very sick last night.  Had a night of violent puking, which has left me tired and weak.  So I am not leaving the house and had to find something around the house as a subject.  This sparkly skull is out for Halloween and seemed simple enough.  It was something I saw today.

Day 525 - Teacher and Students - 10.27.12

More Nutcracker rehearsals today.  This is one of the teachers teaching the choreography for the Mother Ginger portion.  It was something I saw today.

Day 524 - Food Truck Night - 10.26.12

In Burbank on the last Friday of every month Food Trucks line Magnolia Blvd. in the evening.  I had never gone to this event, but I have wanted to for months since I heard about it.  I didn't want to go for the lines or the food.  I can take a pass on that.  I was interested in the photo opportunities.  Well tonight I went and brought my tripod.  I took a few photos.  The sidewalks were pretty crowded, which made it a little harder, but I got a couple shots I like.  This scene here was something I saw today.

Day 523 - Field Trip - 10.25.12

Today we had a big company update, which meant all the employees took a field trip to the Gibson Amphitheater.  The company chartered a bunch of buses to drive everyone over.  This was a view in my bus this morning.  It was something I saw today.

Day 522 - Yellow Building - 10.24.12

This is the back of the building my office is in.  I took a walk this afternoon and this was something I saw today.

Day 521 - The Car - 10.23.12

Today Guillermo del Toro was at the studio.  He parked his car right in front.  It is a replica of the car featured in the 1977 film entitled "The Car."  While he was there, there was a steady stream of people taking photos of this very interesting and unique car.  This was something I saw today.

Day 520 - More Clouds - 10.22.12

These cloudy days have been my photographic savior these past few days.  They make it easy to find at least one thing to photograph.  This was something I saw today.

Day 519 - Clouds Over Catalina - 10.21.12

It wasn't rainy today, but the clouds were big thick and dramatic.  This scene was midday on my street.  It was something I saw today.

Day 518 - Witch's Hat and Pumpkins - 10.20.12

Spent most of the day at The Red Chair Production Company craft fair.  There were some festive holiday decorations.  These pumpkins and witch's hat was something I saw today.

Day 517 - Sunny Apartment Buildings - 10.19.12

This morning I decided to photograph the same alley as yesterday, but at a different angle.  The thing that caught my eye was the sunlight reflecting in the apartment windows.  It was something I saw today.

Day 516 - Sunrise Down the Alley - 10.18.12

This morning I got up and did my morning walk before the sun came up.  When I started my walk the stars were out, but during the walk the clouds rolled in.  There was a nice breeze bringing them in.  By the time the sun came up there was a thick cloud cover.  I snapped this photo before heading off to work around 7:30.  It was something I saw today.

So tired today.  Was up way too late and got up way too early.  I took this simple photo before leaving to work this morning and I'm too tired to look for another subject.  It was something I saw today.

Day 511 - The Haunted Mansion - 10.13.12

Drove down to Disneyland this evening to catch the Halloween decorations.  The line for the haunted mansion was really long.  Everyone loves when they revamp it for Nightmare Before Christmas.  This was something I saw today.
