Day 3693 - "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" A Novel By Quentin Tarantino - 06.30.21

Last night I got a surprise in the mail.  My wife had ordered me "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" Quentin Tarantino's new novel.  I read the first chapter and the beginning of the second chapter last night.  I love my wife so much.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3692 - The Incredible String Band "The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter" - 06.29.21

The album on today's 1001 album's journey was "The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter" by The Incredible String Band.  This is an album I've had for a while, but never really listened to.  I've listened to it a couple times now in the past few weeks. It is interesting and kind of weird. Some songs sound like they came from Middle Earth. This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3691 - "The Bride And Child Monster" Sketch Framed - 06.28.21

I did this sketch not this past weekend, but the weekend before.  It was an idea I had for this year's Halloween Mix.  Saturday I found this frame which has another image in it and I thought it would be good for this sketch.  I swapped in the sketch and hung it up.  This is something I saw today.
 

Day 3690 - New Beverly Cinema July 2021 Calendar - 06.27.21

Friday on my way back from Manhattan Beach I swung by the New Beverly to pick up the July Calendar.  This next month I am going to finally get back to the cinema.  I'm going to 5 nights.  I'm very excited to return.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3688 - Stuck On The 405 - 06.25.21

Today I had to drive into the office in Manhattan Beach and clear some things out of my office. Traffic was bad on the way there, but coming home was worse.  There was an accident on the 405 and I sat at a stand still under the 105 for about 45 minutes.  I took some photos as I stood there.  This is something I saw today.

A friend at work saw "The Sparks Brothers" documentary and told me that it was really good. That prompted me to breakout some Sparks albums.  This is their breakout record "Kimono My House."  This is something I saw today.

Went to Quest Diagnostics this morning for blood tests.  This is the corner of the building Quest it in.  This is something I saw today.

Today I met up with someone from work for lunch.  It was the first time having lunch with someone from work in a very, very long time.  We met up at Jinya Ramen.  Yum!  This is something I saw today.

We bought a bunch of hand sanitizer dispensers for the party this weekend.  We now have a year supply of hand sanitizer.  This is something I saw today.

I picked this book about The Byrds from a Little Lending Library over the weekend.  It is from 1971.  I hope it helps me better understand why the Byrds are regarded as highly as they are.  This is something I saw today.

I bought this set over a year ago and I feel like I have not made nearly as big of a dent in it as I think I should have after a year of the pandemic.  This past week, I have been digging into this box and watching quite a few pictures with a new found appreciation for Crown International Pictures, whose films make up most of this collection.  This is something I saw today.
