Today we treated ourselves to some Chili John's for lunch.  And you can see a glimpse of some Mystery Science Theater 3000 on the laptop there, which is part of our lunchtime routine.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3628 - Bob Dylan's "Blonde On Blonde" - 04.26.21

Today on my 1001 albums odyssey the album for the day was Bob Dylan's "Blonde On Blonde."  Great record.  I listened to it early this morning.  "Rainy Day Woman" and "I Want You" are straight up classics. "One of Us Must Know" "Leopard-Skin Pill-box Hat" and "Absolutely Sweet Marie" are all great. The musicians and production are top notch, but the real highlights are "Just Like A Woman" and "Visions Of Johanna" which are neck and neck for my favorite songs on the album. "Just Like A Woman" is a tight little pop song, while "Visions Of Johanna" is more of a sprawling number that only a poet like Dylan can pull off.  This is something I saw today.

This afternoon I pulled out our ping pong table from the garage.  It was buried behind a bunch of things.  My wife and I played this afternoon and then we went and got a couple more paddles so that when my son and his wife came over for dinner and a movie we could all play together.  It was fun having it set up again.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3616 - "Barb & Star Go To Vista Del Mar" Blu-ray - 04.14.21

I have watched this movie several times in the past few weeks.  We watched it this last weekend as our backyard movie.  It is one of the funnier movies I've scene in a while.   It is just the right sort of silly that I love. This morning I went to get my eyes checked and to pick out some new glasses over in Pasadena. On the way home we stopped by In And Out.  While in line for the drive through I took this photo of construction equipment across the 5 freeway.  These are parked where they are building the new bridge and ramps for Burbank Blvd.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3606 - Polish Easter - 04.04.21

Today my wife made an amazing Easter dinner. She made Polish food for Polish Easter.  We had Polish sausage, short ribs and sauerkraut, potato pancakes, carrots and asparagus. The carrots and asparagus weren't really Polish and were just my suggestions for adding some color to the meal.  My son and his wife joined us.  This is something I saw today.
