Day 3327 - Painted Rabbit - 06.30.20

Here is the painted rabbit at my mom's house again.  I know I just had him in a photo, but I really liked this one.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3326 - Sunrise in Arizona - 06.29.20

Arizona is hot.  My wife and I knew this which is why we got up before dawn to do our daily walk.  Even at this hour is was in the 80's.  Ugh.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3325 - Baby Yoda and A Painted Rabbit - 06.28.20

Yesterday, we learned that my father did not have very long to live and so we drove back to my parents so that we could see him.  Baby Yoda of course came along for the ride and made friends with this painted rabbit in my mother's house.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3324 - Baby Yoda At Zuma Beach - 06.27.20

This morning we got up early and drove out to Zuma just so that we could walk on the beach for a few hours.  My wife and I usually walk around the neighborhood, but we thought we'd get a change of scenery and the beach is also very soothing.  We went early enough that it was not very crowded.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3323 - Different Seasons By Stephen King - 06.26.20

This is one of four Stephen King books I bought about a year and a half ago.  They were each fifty cents.  I finished "Christine" earlier this year (I'm a slow reader) and now I am working my way through these four stories.  I've read "Rita Hayworth And Shawshank Redemption" and "Apt Pupil" and I'm in the middle of "The Body."  This is something I saw today.

Day 3321 - The Cure "The Head On The Door" LP - 06.24.20

I picked this record up off E-bay for quite cheap.  It arrived this past weekend.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3320 - The Haunting Of Hill House DVDs - 06.23.20

My son gave me this extended director's cut of "The Haunting Of Hill House" for Father's day.  I am excited to dig back into this series.  I watched it through when it came out.  I rewatched the first couple episodes with my wife, but we somehow didn't finish.  Now I have a reason to start it again.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3319 - Baby Yoda And Wedding Flowers - 06.22.20

We brought home one of the flower arrangements from the wedding.  Here Baby Yoda is trying to see over the explosion of flowers.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3316 - Getting To Know You - 06.19.20

Tomorrow my daughter is getting married. This evening on the eve of the wedding we had her fiance's family over to my parent's house for a dinner.  This is my daughter-in-law getting to know my daughter's future father-in-law. The evening was full of "getting to know you" conversations.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3315 - Baby Yoda And T-Rex - 06.18.20

Early this morning we drove to Arizona.  We stopped by the Cabazon dinosaurs for an early morning photo.  It was freezing out and super windy.  Baby Yoda didn't mind posing for this photo, though.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3312 - Anniversary Stuff Pork Chop - 06.15.20

My wife made tasty stuffed pork chops for our anniversary this evening.  It was a peach stuffed pork chop inspired by a peach stuffed pork chop we had a few years ago at The Carthay Circle Restaurant at California Adventure.  It was delicious.  This is something I saw today.

Today I was able to go get a haircut.  The salon was over in Toluca Lake and on the way home Baby Yoda and I stopped by the original Bob's Big Boy in Burbank for a quick photo.  Bob was masked up.  This is something I saw today.

I recently rewatched "Blade Runner 2049" which lead me to want to rewatch "Arrival" which I like even more.  So I ordered the Blu-ray which came this week.  I got the 4K edition, even though I don't have a 4K TV or player, but hope to some day.  This is the kind of beautiful movie that I thought would be great in 4K.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3306 - Baby Yoda Returns To MBS Media Campus - 06.09.20

I had to swing by the office again today and Baby Yoda came along for the ride.  He took this selfie out in front of the studios.  This is the studio where "The Mandalorian" was shot and so the was also Baby Yoda's place of work.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3304 - Yancey's Mixture - 06.07.20

This is a 10 inch album that was in amongst the 78s that I have been cleaning.  It is not a 78, but plays at 33 1/3. I cleaned this and digitized it today.  It had some fun piano jazz tracks.  This is something I saw today.

Day 3303 - Cleaning 78s - 06.06.20

Today I started on a large project to clean and digitize all of the 78s that I own.  Most of the 78s I own I have never listened to. I bought a record player that plays 78s a couple years ago and I listen to some of them, but I ended up bringing that record player to work.  This week I brought that record player home and have decided I will make this my next big project.  I will thoroughly clean and then digitize all of them.  These stacks of records are part of the first batch I started today. I did not even get through cleaning half of these.  And I only digitized a handful.  This is going to take a while.  With that said, I am excited to finally listen to many of these records.  This is something I saw today.
