Day 2749 - MBS Nutcracker - 11.30.18

Day 2746 - It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World - 11.27.18

I picked this record up this past weekend.  This movie played at the Cinerama Dome last month because it was the anniversary of the Dome and this is the movie that played when it opened. I wanted to go, but it was midweek and I couldn't get there from work in time. 

I was introduced to this movie when I was a kid when it was one TV and my Uncle Art was visiting.  He said it was one of the greatest movies of all time.  Turns out he was right and I have watched this movie many times over the years.  It has all the great comedians of the time in the 1950's.  The movie became a bit of a family joke as one of only 3 movies my uncle would say were great movies.  The list was this movie, Midway and Electric Glide In Blue.  I am happy to own the record now.  Most of it is score, but there is a great pop track, "31 Flavors" that plays during a hilarious Dick Shawn scene.  Pure pop confection.  I brought it in to work.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2745 - Grandpa Jones Record - 11.26.18

I brought a lot of records this past weekend at a Deseret Industries and a record store in Gilbert.  This Grandpa Jones record was a find at DI.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2744 - EAT Sign - 11.25.18

We drove back to Burbank today.  We stopped for gas at the Cabazon dinosaurs.  It is a tradition at this point.  This is the sign for the Wheel Inn Restaurant, which is no longer there.    This is something I saw today.

Day 2743 - Mischief - 11.24.18

This is my nephew's son Gaetano.  He is mischief, but you've gotta love him.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2742 - Watching The Sunset - 11.23.18

These are my two nephews on my parents' roof watching the Arizona sunset this evening.  This is something I saw today.

This is my nephew's wife and son at my parents' house.  We had a great Thanksgiving with lots of family.  This is something I saw today.

I have a bunch of records that need to get shelved.  Most of them in these stacks are out because they are recent purchases in the last year or so and I plan on digitizing them.  There are a few out such as the Frank and the Holiday records that are out because I have listened to them recently and just haven't put them back where they belong.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2737 - Salt Lake International Airport - 11.18.18

Today we flew back to Burbank.  This is the bridge from the rental car drop off area to the main airport in Salt Lake.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2736 - Provo Library - 11.17.18

This is inside the Provo library.  This is the library that was once the Brigham Young Academy.  The bricks are the edge of the old Academy building and the bridge leads to a newer annex building.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2735 - Bob Hope Airport - 11.16.18

Today we flew to Salt Lake and then drove down to Provo to watch my daughter dance at school.  This is the entrance into Burbank's lovely Bob Hope Airport.  This is something I saw today.

Day 2722 - Monty's Good Burger - 11.03.18

This afternoon my wife and I drove over to Monty's Good Burger to try out their plant based menu.  It was amazing.  There was a line out the door and we waited close to 45 minutes to get in.  Once in I took this photo.  This is something I saw today.
