Day 1561 - Buildings at Sunset - 08.31.15

Day 1560 - Markers - 08.30.15

My daughter recently got this book with all these crazy patterns to color in.  It is supposed to be a stress reducer.  She was doing some coloring this morning as we watched a movie today together.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1559 - Main Street U.S.A. Fireworks - 08.29.15

This evening my family and I went to Disneyland to watch the new electrical parade "Paint The Night" and the new fireworks show.  Both were absolutely amazing.  This view down Main Street U.S.A. is something I saw today.

Day 1558 - Happy Hour - 08.28.15

I was at work a little later tonight.  I was wrapping up one of the shows I was working on delivering the last two shots. Woo hoo!!!  So it was dark when I left.  I walked a block over on Wilshire Blvd. and took this photo.  This was something I saw today.

Day 1557 - Scooby-Doo Billboard - 08.27.15

Until recently the side of this Warner Brothers building had the Justice League.  I enjoyed passing Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and the other DC heroes each morning.  Now I get to see Scooby-Doo and the gang which is great.  Scooby was my favorite cartoon as a kid and I still watch it from time to time.  If fact I've watched quite a few episodes from the first 3 seasons over the last year.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1556 - Car Hop Service - 08.26.15

This evening I met some friends at the Bob's Big Boy in Burbank.  We ended up just sitting at a table outside in the back and talking and never went in for food.  The weather was perfect and it was a good time catching up after not seeing each other for a month or two.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1535 - Like Wow "Wacked Out In Waco" - 08.05.15

This is a record I picked up last year.  I didn't know anything about the band, Like Wow.  I was interested in hearing their cover of Walking After Midnight.  It turns out it is a pretty cool version.  I'm not sure how to categorize it.  Maybe sort of psychobilly, but even that isn't quite right.  It's weird alternative, punk sounding with a tinge of country.  Whatever it is, it is unique and I like it.  So I pulled this off the shelf today and this is something I saw today.

Day 1532 - John Carpenter's Vampires - 08.02.15

I have been watching a lot of John Carpenter recently.  I watched They Live Friday Night in memory of Rowdy Roddy Piper.  Over the past few weeks I've watched Assault on Precinct 13, Escape From L.A., The Fog, The Ward, In The Mouth Of Madness and Prince Of Darkness.  I watch Big Trouble in Little China and Escape from New York almost yearly so I know I've watched them in the last 6 months or so.  I'll probably watch The Thing pretty soon. Well, this last week I picked this up at the Goodwill for $1.50.  I took this photo right before popping the DVD in the player this evening.  This is something I saw today.

Day 1531 - Cocodile - 08.01.15

Half of my day today was spent at Disneyland.  My family and I decided we'd go and ride all the rides that were open on opening day of Disneyland back in 1955.  We also visited the Main Street Cinema which was also open on opening day.  The first ride of the day was Peter Pan's Flight.  This is a photo of the crocodile weather vane on roof of the ride.  This is something I saw today.
