Day 710 - The Music of Cars Land - 04.30.13

This past weekend during out Disneyland adventure I picked up The Music of Cars Land.  I mostly bought it for the soundtrack to the Radiator Spring Racers ride.  I finally opened the CD today to pull it into iTunes.  It was something I saw today.

Day 709 - Santa Claus - 04.29.13

Last month at Wonder Con my wife and I bought this Santa Claus poster.  We thought is would make a great Christmas decoration.  After putting it a frame, though, we thought it would make a great decoration year round and so we hung it in our dining room.  It was something I saw today.

Day 708 - Cheesburger - 04.28.13

Today we recovered from our all day 15 hour day at Disneyland.  That meant dinner was something nice and simple like this tasty cheeseburger.  Yum!  It was something I saw today.

Day 707 - Iron Man - 04.27.13

We visited Disneyland today.  Inside Innoventions is a really cool Iron Man exhibit.  They have all the different iterations of the Iron Man suit.  This close up is something I saw today.

Day 706 - Library Book - 04.26.13

Over the past few weeks I've been reading Batman: Knightfall that I checked out from the library.  It was a good read.  It was something I saw today.

Day 705 - Costume - 04.25.13

This is part of one of my daughter's costumes hanging on the hall closet door knob.  It was something I saw today.

Day 704 - Hellboy - 04.24.13

It was an overcast day today which makes for some nice soft light.  I took old Hellboy out onto my steps for a photo shoot after work.  Lookin' good.  It was something I saw today.

Day 703 - Randy 'Doc' Johnson of The Heat Seekers - 04.23.13

This evening the family and I went to Viva Cantina in hopes of catching a singer who sings Italian songs.  Sorry, but I already forgot the name.  For some reason he was canceled and a group called The Heat Seekers performed.  They did TV and movie theme songs.  It was great fun.  They played all songs that I knew and loved.  They also had this great keyboard wind instrument.  Randy hear was sort of the front man of the band introducing the songs and such.  They had a woman named Justine on Xylophone and she sang some tunes as well.  She did a great version of Skyfall.  They will be playing again soon, so if you have a chance I recommend seeing them.  It was something I saw today.

Day 702 - Stack of Chairs - 04.22.13

This afternoon I had some free time to wander the campus and look for a photo.  This stack of chairs was left alone and I thought it was interesting.  It was something I saw today.

Day 701 - Atari Touch Me - 04.21.13

Today was a nice relaxing day at home.  I listened to and digitized some records.  I read a bunch of Batman Knightfall.  I also photographed and scanned a bunch of records.  I also took a few moments to photograph this old handheld toy of mine.  This is one of the original hand held games.  I must have gotten it back in '78 or '79.  It was something I saw today.

Day 700 - Record Store Day - 04.20.13

Today was Record Store Day.  I planned on going and maybe picking up a few records pressed just for today.  I did get a couple records, but nothing super exciting when compared to what else I found.  At one of the record stores I went through all their 7" records and pulled out a stack of interesting records.  Many were not priced.  I brought them to the front desk to get priced and then I could figure out what I could afford.  I thought that was all I was going to get.  But then one of the guys working there walked by with a Flipper album.  I asked if I could see it and I then told him I was going to buy it.  He then told me had gotten a bunch of punk records from the 80's out.  The store had just gotten in a big record collection and they were literally just unpacking boxes and putting out records.  I found some of these in the racks and others as the Black Flag and two Big Black records I grabbed as soon as he priced them.  I'm sure there were more gems in the boxes, but I had to cut myself of and leave before I spent any more money.  Anyway I was pretty excited to get these few records.  I laid them out for this photo to immortalize the days treasure.  It was something I saw today.

Day 699 - Walkway - 04.19.13

The sun was nice as I left work today.  This is a walkway outside the building in which I work.  It was something I saw today.

Day 698 - Tree On Verdugo - 04.18.13

Nothing too exciting today.  Just took a picture of a tree along Verdugo on the way home from work.  It was something I saw today.

Day 697 - Yum!!! - 04.17.13

It was Take Your Kids To Work Day today at work.  My kids are too old to come, but that didn't mean I didn't participate.  I was lucky enough to be asked to be one of the photographers documenting the day.  This is a friend of mine's son getting a super tasty desert.  Yum!!!  It was something I saw today.

Day 696 - Campanile Tower - 04.16.13

I had some free time this afternoon and so I did a quick walk around campus to find a photo.  The sun was right behind the Campanile building tower, which I thought might be interesting.  It was something I saw today.

Day 695 - Turbo Race Car - 04.15.13

At work today there was an Indy race car that is being sponsored by Firestone and the upcoming movie Turbo.  It was cool.  It was something I saw today.

I loved Ultraman as a kid.  Now I have one of my own.  It was something I saw today.a

Day 693 - Track Meet - 04.13.13

My daughter participated in a track meet this morning.  We got there plenty early and watched as they set things up.  This student pulling this equipment was something I saw today.

Day 692 - Evening Hallway - 04.12.13

Today is another picture of the same hallway from yesterday, but looking in the other direction and instead of the morning this is the end of the day.  It was something I saw today.

This is the hallway outside my office first this this morning before the lights even came on.  It was something I saw today.

Day 690 - Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey - 04.10.13

There are several areas at work where people have set up bars for some after hour unwinding.  This bottle of whiskey is part of one such set up.  It was something I saw today.

Day 689 - CFX Theater - 04.08.13

Today was another day of taking a photo at work.  Our CFX department has their own little theater and this sign directs you there.  It was something I saw today.

Day 688 - Crane - 04.08.13

At work there is some construction equipment next to the parking garage.  I'm not sure what it is for, but when I was leaving this evening I thought I'd snap this photo.  It was something I saw today.

Day 687 - Cinderalla - 04.07.13

This morning we visited the Magic Kingdom.  I wanted to really see the new Fantasy Faire area and take some photos.  It was pretty quiet this morning.  We left before noon when the sun was coming out and the crowds were picking up.  This Cinderella is in a window display.  It was something I saw today.

Day 686 - Bunny - 04.06.13

Today was extremely relaxing.  After running around for a few errands this afternoon was spent with the windows open, music on the stereo and "All-Star Superman" in my hands.  This Easter Bunny was kicking it as well.  It was something I saw today.

Day 685 - Necklace - 04.05.13

Tonight my wife and I went and watched my daughter in the Luther Middle School Pop Show.  While waiting to get in I took this photo of my wife's necklace.  It was something I saw today.

Day 684 - Before Pop Show - 04.04.13

My daughter has a junior high Pop Show performances tonight and tomorrow night.  I took this before she left for the show, which is why she has all the make up on.  She was something I saw today.

Day 683 - Margarita Time - 04.03.13

I was finally well enough to go back to work today and it was a good day to do so because we had a department lunch at Viva Fresh.  Margaritas were the drink of choice for most of the department.  This is a friend of mine getting to the bottom of his.  It was something I saw today.

The story is getting old, but I was home sick again today so I couldn't venture far for a photo.  So here is some more Easter leftovers.  This stuffed bunny was something I saw today.
