Day 621 - Pencil & Marker Buckets - 01.31.13

My daughter likes to take over our living room with her school work.  She has a couple buckets of pencils and markers on the floor now.  This was something I saw today.

Day 619 - Copter at Sunset - 01.29.13

This evening I stepped out onto a balcony to take pictures of the sunset.  it was again brilliant this evening.  While I was up there and when the light was really fading from the sky a helicopter came in and landed on the DreamWorks helipad on top of our Parking garage.  This is a picture of it as it came in to land.  I am not sure if anyone got out because it was hard to see in the dark, but it took off again after about a minute.  I felt pretty lucky to have been in the spot I was at just the moment it came.  It was something I saw today.

Day 618 - Pink Sky and Pink River - 01.28.13

There was a beautiful sunset at work this evening.  I really thought it was stunning the way the pink and purples reflected in the river.  It looks like a candy river.  It was something I saw today.

Day 617 - Orange County Dance Center - 01.27.13

Another weekend and another dance audition for my daughter.  This afternoon was auditions for Ballet West's summer intensive program.  The audition as at the orange County Dance Center in Huntington Beach.  It was something I saw today.

Day 616 - Clouds Over The Empire Center - 01.26.13

For the most part today was a beautiful day.  However there were times when the clouds gathered making the sky ominously dark.  When I was at the Empire Center I took a moment to snap this photo of such clouds.  It was something I saw today.

Day 615 - Mickey Reflection - 01.25.13

This evening we were at California Adventure.  We watched the World of Color show.  While waiting for the show I took this photo of the Mickey Ferris Wheel reflected in the lagoon.  It was something I saw today.

Day 611 - Star Wars Classic Edition 4-Pack - 01.21.13

Today I took a lot of photographs of toys (mostly Star Wars toys), to try and sell online.  This pack however I think I am going to keep.  I love the original Star Wars molds.  It was something I saw today.

Day 610 - School of American Ballet Audition - 01.20.13

This afternoon we headed over to the Westside to the Westside School of Ballet where there were auditions for The School Of American Ballet.  This is my daughter and her friend before the audition.  It was something I saw today.

Day 609 - Cal State Long Beach Blue Pyramid - 01.19.13

Today the family and I went to Cal State Long Beach for one of my daughter's dance rehearsals.  The campus has this cool blue pyramid building for their gymnasium.  It was something I saw today.

Day 606 - 4" Aluminum Elbow - 01.16.13

Had a new water heater installed today.  One piece we bought that we thought we might need, but in the end didn't need was this 4" Aluminum Elbow.  I have the receipt so I'll bring it back to Lowe's and hopefully get a few buck back.  It was something I saw today.

Day 605 - Popcorn - 01.15.13

This morning we woke up to cold water in our shower.  It turned out that our pilot light on the water heater was out.  So this meant I spent most of the day hanging out at home waiting for a man from the gas company to come and check out the problem.  It also meant that this afternoon I made myself a bowl of popcorn to eat while I caught up on "Once Upon A Time."  It was something I saw today.

I had a few minutes this afternoon to slip to my car and take this photo in the parking garage.  I thought it was interesting seeing both levels.  It was something I saw today.

Day 599 - Sunrise - 01.10.13

I got up before dawn and did my walk.  I actually threw in a little bit of jogging.  I stress "little bit."  I got home in time to see these amazing colors in the pre-dawn sky.  It was something I saw today.

Day 598 - Party Chairs - 01.08.13

Last month we had a holiday party and a friend dropped off some chairs.  After the party he said to leave them on our porch and he would pick them up the next day.  They are still on our porch.  I see them every day that I leave the house.  It was something I saw today.

Day 597 - Yard Sale - 01.07.13

This past weekend we painted some signs for our upcoming yard sale.  We have them in our dining room to dry.  It was something I saw today.

Day 596 - City Or Burbank Float - 01.06.13

This afternoon I went and saw the City of Burbank's float for the Rose Parade.  It is on display at the corner of Glenoaks and Olive Ave.  Seeing it up close and all the detail was really cool.  It was something I saw today,

Day 595 - Tie Fighter Model - 01.05.13

Did some more garage cleaning today.  Also organized everything for next week's garage sale.  And lastly we brought into the house some items we want to try and sell online.  This unopened Tie Fighter model is one of those items.   It was something I saw today.

Day 594 - Verdugo and Olive - 01.04.12

Every once in a while I take an alternate route home.  I cut down Verdugo.  Tonight was one of those nights.  At the stop light at Olive I snapped this photo.  It was something I saw today.

Day 593 - Parking Garage - 01.03.12

I had a few moments before the sun went down this afternoon to break away from my desk and stroll around the campus.  I wandered back to my car in the parking garage, go my camera and took this photo of the outside of the parking structure.  Love the gold against the blue sky.  It was something I saw today.
