Day 376 - Telephone Wires O'Plenty - 05.31.12

Telephone wires in the alley by my house.  It was something I saw today.

Day 375 - North Hollywood Toyota - 05.30.12

This morning I went with my wife to drop off her car at the North Hollywood Toyota dealer.  If you travel on the 134, you'd know this dealership because they have mannequins all around the parking garage.  It is kind of creepy.  It was something I saw today.

Day 374 - Spider Web - 05.29.12

I usually park in the same place everyday at work.  I don't know why I haven't taken a photo of this spider web before.  It has been there a while.  Well, today I did.  It was something I saw today.

Day 373 - Disneyland Treat - 05.28.12

We went to Disneyland today for Memorial day.  It got pretty hot in the afternoon.  My daughter cooled off with a yummy Mickey bar.  It was something I saw today.

Day 372 - Russian Dolls - 05.27.12

One thing my wife and I like to do in our house is change up some of the decorations every once in while.  We have lots or toys are pictures or other interesting things to put out, but we don't like having a lot out at once.  My wife just put these Russian dolls out a couple days ago on the ledge by our front door.  It was something I saw today.

Day 371 - The Last Sambo's - 05.26.12

What a great day.  Drove up to Santa Barbara for the I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival.  We started off the morning by going to the last Sambo's still in operation. I had not been to a Sambo's since I was a kid.  Food was good, but the decor was even better.  Lover the paintings on the wall with scenes from the book. Before we left I snapped this photo of the exterior while standing in the middle of PCH.  It was something I saw today.

Day 370 - Mystery Machine - 05.25.12

I passed by this van a few months back, but didn't pull over for a picture.  I thought I'd take a picture on my way home, but then the van was gone and I regretted not taking a photo.  So today when I saw the van again on my way home I instantly pulled over for a pic.  It was something I saw today.

Day 369 - Duck on a Roof - 05.24.12

At work there is a mother duck who lives on our roof with her ducklings.  I saw them this morning and decided to go out and take their picture.  I never really could get a good photo of the mama duck and the ducklings all together.  At this moment the ducklings are behind her hidden by the hedge.  I like to contrast of the urban buildings and man made roof tops against this little bit of nature.  It was something I saw today.

Day 368 - 2 Chairs - 05.23.12

I don't know what happened to the table that these chairs are usually around but it was gone this morning.  To me it made it look like these two chairs were having their own conversation.  It was something I saw today.

Day 367 - Bugs at Sunset - 05.22.12

This evening as I was getting into my car I looked out over ABC and noticed a swarm of bugs hovering over some trees.  It looked almost like smoke coming off the trees.  I did my best to capture it here, but I have to admit it wasn't super successful.  Still the silhouettes and sunset is nice.

Day 366 - Hanging Skateboard - 05.21.12

I had actually planned on taking a break from the daily photos once I had reached one year of photos.  However I found this evening that not taking a photo of something kind of interesting was a habit hard to break.  I got home and pulled my car into the garage and when I got out I noticed how the evening sunlight was cutting across my skateboard and I thought that looks interesting.  So I took a photo.  It was something I saw today.

Day 365 - Hamburger Dinner - 05.20.12

Hot summer weather is here, which means BBQ time.  Tonight I had a hamburger and an ear of corn on the grill.  This is my plate before I dug in.  It was something I saw today.

Day 364 - Dancer Picture Day - 05.19.12

It was picture day for the dancers at my daughter's dance studio.  They have an upcoming dance showcase and they took the pictures for that today.  I took pictures of many of the girls with their make up and costumes on.  This is a friend's daughter who is just a cutie.  It was something I saw today.

Day 363 - Microphone - 05.18.12

At work we had a recording session and I decided to bring my camera.  This microphone was something I saw today.

Day 362 - Library Flowers - 05.17.12

This morning I went to my daughter's school because she was receiving a student of the month award.  We met in the school library.  Each table had flowers on it. These flowers are something I saw today.

Day 361 - Jimmy Angel's 77th Birthday - 05.16.12

Today was Jimmy Angel's 77th birthday and he celebrated it at Viva Cantina in Burbank.  I've caught Jimmy's show several times now.  He is simply amazing.  You see and hear him perform and it is hard to believe he is 77 years old.  If you ever have a free Wednesday night I highly recommend catching Jimmy at Viva Cantina.  He goes on at 8PM.  Then stick around for Troy Walker.  Tonight I just went for Jimmy and left before Troy.  He was something I saw today.

Day 360 - Madagascar 3 - 05.15.12

Madagascar 3 is just about to come out which means works is getting covered in Madagascar 3 decorations.  This banner went up this past week.  It was something I saw today.

Day 359 - Spam Car - 05.14.12

A few years SPAM had points on the can so that you could mail off and get SPAM merchandise.  I mailed away and got this car.  It sits on a shelf in my record room.  It was something I saw today.

Day 358 - Duff - 05.13.12

Mmmmmmmm.  Duff.  No not Duff Beer.  Duff energy drink.  Oh how I wish I did have some cans of Duff Beer, but these will do for now.  This six pack was something I saw today.

Day 357 - Buddha - 05.12.12

I went to a BBQ at a friend's house this evening.  They had a Buddha statue in their backyard and so I took a picture of it.  It was something I saw today.

Day 356 - Spinach and Chicken - 05.11.12

Not a great photo today, but let me just say that when I got home after a long 13 hour day the sight of this Chinese food looked oh so good.  It was something I saw today.

Day 355 - Weeding - 05.10.12

When I got home this evening my lovely wife was doing a little weeding in our front yard.  It was something I saw today.

This morning I went and saw The Avengers with my department from work.  Outside the theater I saw this pigeon and I snapped a photo.  It was something I saw today.

Day 353 - Men On A Bridge - 05.08.12

This morning I caught a glimpse of these workers as they were crossing this bridge.  It was something i saw today.

Day 352 - Mini Ping Pong - 05.07.12

In the building I work, there are open communal areas to chill on each floor.  On one floor there is a mini ping pong table.  I snapped a photo of it on my way out this evening.  It was something I saw today.

Day 351 - Green Plants - 05.06.12

I noticed the way the light was dappled on these plants and thought it was pretty.  It was something I saw today.

Day 350 - Dog Statue - 05.05.12

After an afternoon watching "The Avengers" (awesome!) and a tasty dinner, my wife and I walked down the Chandler bike path. At the Keystone intersection there is a statue of two kids a wagon and two dogs. There is a boy pulling the wagon and a girl pushing.  One dog is walking along side the wagon and the one pictured here is in the wagon riding like a royalty.  It was something I saw today.

Swung by Patys in Toluca lake this morning before work for this photo.  It was something I saw today.

Day 348 - Alley Drawers - 05.03.12

Took a walk down the alley looking for a photo this evening.  Saw these drawers and stopped for a photo.  Then this kid came out and was balancing a broom on his hand.  Made for an interesting background.  It was something I saw today.

Day 347 - Bike Rack - 05.02.12

I had lunch with a friend at Cafe Bravo this afternoon.  We sat outside.  Just across from us was this bike rack.  It was something I saw today.

Day 346 - K9 - 05.01.12

I got this K9 toy back in high school.  I think I like him more than my Sylvester McCoy 7th Doctor figure.  He sits on one of my shelves in the record room and I see him just about every day.  I decided that today he deserved the photo treatment.  It was something I saw today.
